Week 17 of launching our startup 🚀 My quote of the week: "The secret of change is to focus all your energy not on fighting the old but on building the new." —Socrates This week was a refreshing change from fundraising to product development and customer-centric things at Grro. Seeing the pieces fall into place for our upcoming release has been super rewarding. With fast AI advancements, we're not just keeping pace; we're setting new standards. With 2024 promising even greater acceleration, our focus remains on leveraging these advancements effectively. Figuring out what truly matters for us amid the innovation is integral to our strategic planning. Right now, for us, this means harnessing LLMs to refine our AI stack. Prioritising this work ensures not just system improvements but better quality and value for our users. At the core of my role at Grro is the interrogation of how our AI stack serves our customers: delivering more value, insights, and cost savings. But, along with this pragmatism, is a commitment to experimentation. It's this spirit of playfulness and creativity that defines our small team at Grro and personally makes me jump out of bed in the morning— the magical stuff that has fuelled my career so far. In response to complaints over Techstars corporate culture, the CEO and co-founder of the well-known US startup accelerator, which has sponsored thousands of firms, has acknowledged that "maybe things got a little wobbly." according to a Tech.eu report. In May of this year, David Cohen went back to his position as CEO of Techstars, which has supported startups throughout Europe and sponsored companies including Zipline, a drone delivery service, and DataRobot, an AI company. After Maëlle Gavet's tenure as CEO, Techstar's corporate culture came under fire, and Cohen took over as CEO once more. Cohen talks on some of the survey's major results, such as the fact that almost half of founders have had anxiety in the previous year, and that 30% of founders want their firms to stay private while just 15% say going public is their main objective.
