A short course in writing user stories. I love how Dylan Jensen hammers on stakeholder involvement. Because truly, if a stakeholder is not aligned and you begin to work on the requirements, you will surely have issues during or at the end of the project. #dailylearning Just finished "A Beginner's Guide to Writing User Stories" by Madecraft, and Dylan Jensen! Q? Where Can I "Grow My Own Project Know-how"? A! On a Cogent Language Project Know-how Panorama! A Project Know-how Panorama™ is the digital canvas that Cogent Language has developed to enable our customers - individuals and teams - to grow their own project know-how. It is huge, so huge that it is hosted on the infinite canvas platform Mural®. While similar to other canvases used by start-up teams and to the big visual charts (BVC) in agile projects, our panorama is best understood as a gigantic visual model to enhance discovery, creation, and management of project know-how – ongoing and over the long-term. Every Cogent Language customer has the opportunity to develop their own Project Know-how Panorama during our courses, and then keep it to use after the course is done.

Our Content Producers are triple threats. They need to be experts at: 1. Project Management 2. Media Coaches 3. Expert Copywriters It takes a minute to get all those skills locked down. Often, when a new content producer starts at Demandii they feel very overwhelmed. This is why we follow the model of onboarding in these steps: - I do - We do - You do - You teach Once you can teach it, you know you got it. We create the time and space to master these 3 skills. Once they've mastered them, they become a triple threat (that's a good thing)!

Implementing agile methodologies in content marketing teams can transform productivity and creativity. 🌀 Agile promotes adaptability, allowing teams to pivot quickly in response to market trends. It fosters collaborative efforts and continuous improvement, leading to richer, more engaging content. Consider this: Traditional content planning can be rigid and slow, while agile offers flexibility and speed. By running sprints and regular retrospectives, content marketers can quickly address challenges and capitalize on new opportunities. Are you ready to make your content marketing agile? Share your experiences, or ask questions to start your agile journey! 🚀 #ContentMarketing #AgileMethodology #ProductivityTips

Last week Benefex put on a day of training run by our own experts, with sessions on everything from project management to emotional resilience, and how to put together presentations. One of my favourite sessions was run by Zach Ward on the theme of productivity. These three tips really resonated: 1️⃣ Use a Pomodoro timer 🍅🕐 - if you're not familiar with this technique, you focus on a single task (or tasks) for 25 minutes, then take a 5 minute break, and repeat. This method was developed by Francesco Cirillo in the late 80s - he was a university student struggling to complete his assignments so used a kitchen timer to be more focussed. There are apps you can use to gamify this if that's your thing 🎮 I already use the Pomodoro technique to increase focus and give myself permission to focus exclusively on a specific task rather than jumping between tasks, email, and teams 🤓. And it's especially useful at breaking down a big task - like writing a report - into more approachable chunks. 2️⃣ Take proper breaks 🧘♀️ - this goes hand-in-hand with the technique above. There's lots of evidence that even just taking five minutes to recharge improves brain function and helps the mind focus. It also reduces the aches and pains that come with sitting at your desk without moving all day, and helps prevent eye strain... For me that means making yet another cup of tea ☕ or a speed-walk around the block for some fresh air 🚶♀️ In the session, we all agreed that ideas often strike when we step away from the screen 💭 3️⃣ Use stream of consciousness writing to combat writers block ✍ Whether you're struggling with writing a piece of content or even responding to a tricky email, you just start writing/typing everything that's in your head for 3-5 minutes - without worrying about grammar, structure or punctuation. Then you can go back and review and highlight the bits you want to develop further. This is something I'll definitely be using in those moments when I'm struggling to commit something to a blank page. What techniques would you add? 👀 #productivityhacks #contentwriting #contenttips (img from Todoist)

The Product Manager’s Vocabulary! Ever feel like you need a translator just to get through your day as a Product Manager? Don’t worry—you’re not alone. Here’s a lighthearted take on some common PM terms that might sound familiar: "Stakeholder Alignment" = Diplomatic Mission Impossible. "Sprint Planning" = How to Fit 10 Days of Work into 5. "User Stories" = Creative Writing with a Deadline. "Roadmap" = A Path Paved with Good Intentions. "Release Date" = The Day Everything That Can Go Wrong, Will Go Wrong. "Minimum Viable Product" = Maximum Viable Stress. "Data-Driven Insights" = Creative Storytelling with Charts. "Progress Report" = Explaining Why We're Still Not There Yet. If any of these sound all too familiar, just remember—you’re not the only one navigating the wild world of product management! #ProductManagementHumor #PMlife #JokesForPMs 😄
