I wish more nurses could come to this, or more of the people this directly effects. Also, there is no one on this panel that has been a victim of patient generated violence in the last few years, which is slightly concerning if we are looking at enacting change. I am happy that Serena Bumpus DNP RN NEA-BC will be there as she does represent Texas nurses. Cost is: This is 360 dollars. For a nurse that’s a whole shift of pay, for a cna? A whole paycheck. For someone like me, someone who does this all day full time; literally pays for a whole day of veteran led training for my company. Or 360 healthcare workers to be trained with me. I’ll probably be able to find the funds somewhere, but why does it have to be so expensive to initiate change? Or is that we value conversations about change more than the action of participating in it?
