We are incredibly proud of the Team Members and thankful to our guests at Boulder Station as we celebrate the 30th anniversary. The property opened Aug. 23, 1994!
30 years ago today, a legacy was born on the Boulder Strip. Stacia Casinos expanded its footprint in the city with its second hotel and casino. Boulder Station opened its doors on August 23rd, 1994, becoming not just the casino, but a home away from home for Las Vegas East Side residents. From the moment our doors opened, we became a place where tradition meets excitement. Inspired by the charm of traditional Western train station, Boulder Station was built to stand the test of time. Our hardwood walkway and stained glass accents create a warm. Inviting atmosphere where every guest feels welcome. The Railhead music venue was an instant success, playing host to some of the biggest names in country music and having the awards to show for it. Folder still blends the classic with the modern and inviting casino with all your favorite games and impeccable dining options. From our bustling bingo hall and incredible sports book to our cozy Keno lounge, we offer something for everyone. It's not just about the games, it's about the experience, but what truly makes Boulder Station the heart of the Boulder. It is our people. We are incredibly proud to have 39 day one team members who have been with us since the very beginning and the other team members that deliver on Station Casinos missions every day. Their dedication, passion and love for this place while the heartbeat of Boulder Station. They are the ones who have made this house a home for so many. Cheers to 30 years of memories and to the many more yet to come. Thank you for being a part of our story.
Absolutely one of my FAV STN properties I ever had the opportunity to lead! My days there 20+ years ago with Bob Finch are the best memories EVER in my 20 years at Stations! The Team Members at Boulder are the “Best of The Best” and still are some of my FAV industry friends! Congrats BOULDER! #VegasIcon
I opened Boulder as a Slot Host. I remember once the ribbon was cut, the flood of people coming in the front doors was beyond description. Congratulations on 30 years and here's to many many more.
My #InsuranceStory: I went to college for Criminal Justice and Arabic.
Super insurancey right?!?! WRONG!
I worked in various #jobs in Probation and Parole, Corrections as well as a social worker after I graduated. They were all jobs to me.
I went overseas and became a defense contractor. I was responsible for going off base and surveying battle damaged vehicles and bringing them back to base for retrograde or disposing of them. Essentially material damage adjusting or field auto appraising of multi-million dollar vehicles.
I was getting ready to come home and end my second contract and I put an application at Erie Insurance Group.
Why?
Advice from my Father: "If you're going to come back to your hometown, you might as well work at the best company in your hometown while you figure out what you want to do next."
Little did I know what would come next is 11 great years with the organization, countless friendships and partnerships. Insurance was meant to be a stepping stone to something else. It was a stepping stone into a great company and life.

Today, ERIE celebrates our 99th Anniversary. While next year is a big milestone, it doesn't take away from the fact that we're proud to provide our customers with the same service today that we gave in 1925.
https://lnkd.in/geVgq5pi#InsuranceStory:
I went to school for Business Administration having no clue what career I wanted to pursue.
One day while in the library at SUNY Oswego (which didn't happen very often! lol), I decided to look at a book that outlined different careers you could pursue with a 4-year Business Administration Degree. I came across "Insurance Underwriter" which sounded interesting.
It was at that moment I decided I wanted to try and get a "leg up" by gaining some insurance experience through an internship. Not knowing the difference between an insurance carrier or agency, I decided to open the phonebook yellow pages (an actual printed book that listed all businesses by category from A-Z, lol) and solicit each insurance business asking if they'd be willing to hire a college intern for the summer. Low and behold, I received a call back from a local prominent independent agency who was willing to bring me in. I spent the summer processing personal lines policies and backing up our claims department by taking claims calls.
I continued to work at the agency throughout my senior year of college and during my spring semester, I attended thirteen 8-hour Saturdays of insurance licensing classes. By the time I graduated college, I was a licensed Property Casualty Insurance Broker. I was hired by this agency as a personal-lines insurance broker after graduation, and that is how I began my insurance career!
That was 30 years ago and since that time I have held various insurance roles on both the agency and carrier side of the insurance business. I have worked in personal, commercial, life, financial services and surety lines of business.
Almost two years ago, I had the opportunity to join Erie Insurance Group as a Senior District Sales Manager in Central New York. I quickly learned what an amazing culture Erie exhibits and I'm SO PROUD to work for such a tremendous organization and the amazing agents that represent us!!

FivePoint introduced the first of what is now eight communities in Great Park Neighborhoods 10 years ago with the promise that “life will be different here.”
It’s more than just a slogan. It’s a goal and daily challenge to create a place with distinctive style and personality. One that’s lively and imaginative, with a few surprises and delights along the way.
Beyond the creation of new streets and structures, residents and visitors tell us they feel a strong sense of community, opportunity and connection at GPN... something different than what they once knew before.
As FivePoint continues to invite the community to celebrate GPN’s 10th anniversary, it’s been fun to find collaborators who share that vision and have an interest in creating a uniquely DIFFERENT kind of experience -- both for Great Park Neighborhoods residents and the surrounding community.
In the spirit of a modern-day speakeasy, the Irvine location of Left Coast Brewing Co. (located a stone's throw from GPN) has introduced a special “life will be different here” blonde ale this month into its collection of craft brews.
If you know to ask for it and tell them Great Park Neighborhoods sent you, you’ll get a free collectible 10th anniversary pint glass. And food/drink discounts (shh… it’ll be our secret). But for those who don't know to ask for it, we're hearing the name is piquing curiosity, inspiring taste tests, and creating conversation.
So... please stop by to raise a glass and say CHEERS TO 10 YEARS… and celebrate the beauty that comes with being different. Details: https://lnkd.in/g2NzC5rR

Reflecting on another incredible year ✨ I’m so grateful for our committed team members, supportive clients, Douglas Elliman colleagues, and the talented developers we’ve had the opportunity to work with this year. Your support has been the driving force behind our achievements! Cheers to all that lies ahead in 2024 🍾
Yesterday marked a pivotal moment in my journey to becoming an accredited Executive Coach through Meyler Campbell‘s Mastered Programme as we entered the second half of our program. It’s amazing how much the depth of our discussions has changed, allowing us to delve deeper into our learning experiences. I can scarcely believe that next year we too will be graduating as the 2024 cohort did last night.
What I am particularly enjoying about coaching is the focus on supporting others in finding their own paths to success. It’s not about giving advice or sharing knowledge; it’s about providing leaders with a structured way of thinking that can help break down problems and accelerate development.
That said, much of what I am learning relates to my personal journey towards becoming the leader that I aspire to be. I am convinced that in a world of rapid and disruptive change, a manager’s role can no longer be to direct and decide alone—we cannot have all the right answers. Leaders will succeed by drawing out the best in their teams, who will, in turn, learn to adapt and generate fresh, innovative ideas more quickly.
So, a few observations from my journey so far:
- Listening is the ultimate superpower 🦸. It allows others to feel fully seen and heard while also providing us with valuable insights. It’s also incredibly difficult.
- Words, 📖 even chosen in haste, often uncover underlying truths. Clarifying and exploring these phrases can help us find new paths forward.
- Learning is a lifelong journey. Changing behavior is challenging, but even small steps can lead to a more significant transformation.
I’m grateful to my wonderful group (my fellow Vikings) for their support and shared wisdom on this adventure: Mark Carnegie-Brown, Tim Wakefield, Dominic Ely, Eva Sarma, Sophie Kent and our leaders Keith Krasny and Catherine Devitt
