Co-Founder @Lasqo

STATION F is way more than cheap desks 4 months ago, Lasqo AI joined Station F’s founder program. Since then, fellow entrepreneurs often ask me “What did it bring you? Was it worth it?” Now that the program has just ended, it is a good time to take a step back and give an answer. Frankly, Maxime, Antoine, and I came mostly for affordable desks. We felt our small Parisian flats were not the best place to build Lasqo. We needed somewhere to call “office”. Little did we know Station F would offer so much more than just workspace. 🐈 Vulnerability as a core value helped me deal with the ups and downs of entrepreneurship It’s often hard to answer when my friends ask “How are things doing?”. Your days are full of problems to solve and you never know whether you solve them fast enough. Early in the program, Station F emphasized the importance of vulnerability and transparency. It started with Intimacy Day, where we shared our struggles and fears with fellow batch members. I believe it was a turning point for me. It helped me put difficulties into perspective (“I’m not the only one”) and be less disturbed by the moments of doubt. ✊ Being part of a cohort of entrepreneurs is an incredible boost I thrive in team environments, so being surrounded by other entrepreneurs was very stimulating: - I could discuss the never-ending innovations in our space with Alvaro from Mago or Alexandre from Adorno. - I benefited from Clémentine's entrepreneurial experience regarding pricing, pitch, etc. - I remembered the good old days of fintech speaking with Karen-Laure from Swaive - I discovered the Belgian ecosystem a bit better with the Sonaar team (cc Jean Romain Amélie) 👴 Exposition to entrepreneurs a few years ahead of us has been extremely enriching “The way you present the problem you’re tackling is very misleading” is what Tim and Arnaud told us during the first Pitch Session. It was tough but extremely valuable to receive such feedback from two successful entrepreneurs. I learn 10x faster when I listen to people who have gone through the same challenges as mine and in this regard the lineup made by the Founder Program’s team was incredible. We had both topic-specific sessions (cc Marie on building a sales team, Yoann on content creation) and feedback sessions that accelerated our learning curve. 👨🎨 Last, but not least, being in a beautiful place helps keep a high moral Last week, Mehdi visited me and texted me as soon as he arrived “this place is so beautiful, I love it”. We work in a unique building surrounded by the contemporary art collection of Xavier Niel. It’s easy to forget how lucky we are to be in such an environment, but it undoubtedly contributes to our daily motivation. By the way, thank you Amélie to allow me to illustrate this point with such a nice photo. Thanks Roxanne, Héloïse, Loup, Marwan & the rest of the Founder's staff for this experience. We’re happy to stay in SF for at least a few more months 🏡
