STATS Group are proud to support a valued client in Oman safely tie-in a new facility to their natural gas transmission network. STATS deployed two 48” Remote Tecno Plug’s to isolate a short section of pipeline - operating at 90 bar, enabling safe tie-in of new launchers and receivers without depressurising and venting the entire pipeline. The Remote Tecno Plugs were pigged 25km through the line, tracked and accurately positioned at the isolation location. Once activated the dual seals of the Remote Tecno Plugs were tested with full pipeline pressure and constantly monitored throughout the workscope to ensure leak-tight double block isolation. Our largest Remote Tecno Plugs deployed in Oman, this marks a significant milestone and part of our commitment to support the industry and region by reducing venting and flaring during pipeline maintenance and modification activities.
