Through our critical materials science-based solutions, we seek to contribute to #CO2 reduction by way of “enabling” our customers to increase the efficiency of #renewable energy production, and to “enable” #energy saving strategies. We based this mission on the belief that in this obviously high growth environment, we could achieve both above average financial returns and use our proprietary #technologies to be at the forefront of the industrial contribution to atmospheric CO2 reduction. Our Enabling CO2 Reduction Portfolio (ECO2RP) in #2023 enabled 110.3 million tons of CO2 reduction, 11% more than the 99.4 million tons of enabled CO2 reduction in 2022.

The U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) is investing $171 million in 49 projects across 21 states to significantly reduce industrial greenhouse gas emissions, aligning with President Biden's Investing in America agenda. This includes a groundbreaking $10 million project at a steel plant in Toledo, Ohio, led by the University of Wisconsin-Madison, to demonstrate hydrogen direct reduction technology with the potential to reduce GHG emissions by at least 90% in ironmaking. This initiative is a critical step in advancing clean hydrogen technology towards achieving the national goal of $1 per kilogram within a decade.
