📣 Board Member Remy Garaude Verdier (Enedis) joined the ENTSO-E ’s 15year anniversary conference. He was among the high-level speakers invited to discuss the implementation of the Grid Action Plan, 13 months after its publication, and the ways forward after its completion.     Remy welcomed the new visibility of DSOs in the EU’s next term’s agenda, and the progress made through collaboration with actors of the whole energy value chain on the #GridActionPlan.     He also emphasized key priorities for strengthening the distribution grid:    📌 Strengthening the #GridSupplyChain: Through their collaboration on the Action Point 13, DSO Entity, ENTSO-E, , and Europacable are enhancing synergy between supply chains and grid operators.    📌 Addressing Workforce Bottlenecks: Attracting and retaining talent is critical to scaling the clean #energysector. This afternoon our Managing Director, Michael Winterson, represented The European Data Centre Association - EUDCA as a speaker at the Eurovent Seminar in #Brussels. Michael shared valuable insights on the impact of new legislation, including the Energy Efficiency Directive (#EED), and the advancements in sustainable IT cooling technologies that are paving the way for Europe’s journey toward #netzero. The session was insightful, highlighting key strategies to enhance the #sustainability and efficiency of the #datacentre industry. The ETH Zurich - Chair of Infrastructure Management is pleased to share that Prof. Bryan Adey held a keynote talk at the Driven by Data – mFUND Global Workshop on Thursday, January 30, 2025! His talk, "Transport system resilience to disruptive events and long-term trends: Identifying the need to change and appraising modifications" explored how data-driven approaches can enhance infrastructure resilience against extreme weather and other disruptions. Our latest journal paper, "Protecting Critical Infrastructure against Cascading Effects: The PRECINCT Approach" #JustPublished by #Elsevier in Resilient Cities and Structures. This research is the output of the EU-funded PRECINCT project (https://lnkd.in/ea8twWa3), which developed a comprehensive suite of tools, frameworks, and services designed to empower stakeholders in managing security and resilience for critical infrastructure. This paper was co-authored by Páraic Carroll, Daniel McCrum, Djibrilla AMADOU KOUNTCHE, Stefan Schauer, Sandra König, Shirley Delannoy, Lorcan Connolly, Mircea Iacob, Nicola Gregorio Durante, Yash Shekhawat, José Carlos Carrasco-Jiménez, and Takis Katsoulakos.
