The DeCenter had a wonderful spring semester, and we are pleased to share two important announcements. First, we introduce “Decentralizing Power Through Blockchains: Key Research Questions Across Disciplines,” our first comprehensive white paper. This publication, based on extensive work by our steering committee, draws on expertise ranging from computer science to political science and philosophy, to present a first-principles approach to the most important questions in our field. As reflected in the paper, the DeCenter was established to foster an interdisciplinary approach, not only within academia but also in partnerships spanning industry, open-source ecosystems, policy makers, and regulators. Second, the DeCenter also recently hosted its annual spring conference, which brought together nearly 100 participants from across the ecosystem. We are grateful to our participating speakers and attendees from Consensys, Pantera Capital, Andreessen Horowitz, Ethereum Foundation, Dragonfly, Alethea AI, Stability AI, Digital Citizen Fund, Stellar Development Foundation , Trust Machines , TRM Labs, and many others. Please visit our website(https://lnkd.in/e6PVDcTd)to read both the white paper and the post-conference report.
