Value? This is a great example of how value based care has become a meaningless term. Does anyone believe it's reasonable to ask providers to track over 50 variables for quality/value based care? Why do payers believe their self defined targets for specific measures offer a business advantage? If HEDIS is the gold standard, why modify it? Why do providers enter into these convoluted agreements? Shouldn't providers insist on standardized measures? Why aren't systems investing in tools to support tracking? Why not set providers up for success? In Minnesota, measures have been standardized for almost 20 years through MN Community Measurement. Why haven't others followed? Why not give your providers tools like those from Stellar Health if you want to set them up for success? Thoughts?
