Increased deep-sea oil production and exploration and oil transportation over the seas are the major reasons for oil spillage. Spilled oil must be removed from the water or the surface to protect the water and the environment. ๐ขMarine oil spills include the leakage of crude oil or oil-distilled products (Gasoline, Diesel, Kerosene, etc.) onto the surface of a large water body. They can happen during exploration, production, or transportation. #Marineoilspilltechnologiesย #marineoilspillย #OilSpillsย #ProtectOurOceansย #Stellarixย #Stellarixconsultancyservicesย #MarineConservationย #spilldetection Read More:ย https://lnkd.in/dMNNDbEu

A Complete Guide to โHydraulic Fracturing โ [PDF โ Guide] #Hydraulic #fracturing is a process used to extract #natural #gas and #oil from shale formations deep underground. The process involves drilling a well, then injecting a high-pressure mixture of #water, #sand, and #chemicals into the rock to create fractures. The fractures allow the gas and oil to flow out of the rock and into the well. Restraints & Challenges ๐The key restraints and challenges in the hydraulic fracturing market include water availability, water pollution, and induced seismicity. ๐Water availability is a major challenge in the hydraulic fracturing market as the process requires a large amount of water. In areas where water is scarce, this can pose a major challenge. ๐Water pollution is another major challenge in the hydraulic fracturing market. The process can lead to the contamination of groundwater with chemicals used in the fracking fluid. ๐Induced seismicity is another challenge in the hydraulic fracturing market. The process can cause small earthquakes, which can damage infrastructure and pose a risk to people in the area.

First look: Offshore potable water production from subsea karstic aquifers The main scope of this exclusive "first look" article from World Oil's upcoming issue describes how the possible and secure production method of large quantities of fresh/potable water from subsea bottom springs can be achieved by separating this meteoric (in origin) ground water from the saline seawater.

Happy World Water Day! ๐ We're proud to be contributing to the prevention of ground water contamination. Our #centralizers, along with the outstanding technical expertise of #oilgas professionals, support the development of a secure barrier between the wellbore and the surrounding geological formations. A good cement job will... ๐ซ Prevent any potential pathways for fluids or contaminants to migrate from the formations surrounding the wellbore into the ground water. ๐ซ Ensure that aquifers are isolated from one another, preventing cross-contamination between different layers. ๐ซ Stop the migration of harmful gases such as methane or hydrogen sulfide into ground water sources. Proper cementing practices are crucial for the long-term integrity and environmental stewardship of oil and gas wells. ๐ง๐ #WorldWaterDay #excellencetothecore

Texas has 476,790 unplugged oil wells that are a toxic nightmareโand itโs getting worse https://lnkd.in/gBmgz33M Derelict wells are more than a nuisanceโthey are virtual doomsday machines that foul the air, pollute the soil, threaten groundwater, and make it increasingly likely that we wonโt meet our carbon reduction goals in the near future. In Texas and other oil and gas producing states, the bill for oilfield cleanup is staggering, but there are signs that state and federal lawmakers are getting serious about paying it. For more than a decade, since the start of the fracking boom, Permian Basin cities, towns and rural areas have seen their roads degraded by endless streams of semis hauling water, sand and heavy equipment. One of those roads, Highway 285, has grown so dangerous from oilfield traffic that it is known as โDeath Highway.โย The boom has also stressed schools, hospitals, law enforcement and health care resources, and caused a deterioration of air and water quality in the region, which is home to about half a million people, according to the Permian Basin Regional Planning Commission.

๐ง Dangers of fracking leading to heavy metal concentrated wastewater! Waste material includes solids, liquids and gas. The solid materials are pieces of rock from the drilling of the borehole, known as drill cuttings. Waste liquids come from the discarded fluids used to help the drilling process, known as drilling muds, and the waste water that returns to the surface after fracking, known as flowback fluid. Waste gas is gas that cannot be used and needs to be collected. There are strict environmental regulations in place to control the storage and disposal of all wastes produced during fracking. However, the waste water or flowback fluid that returns from the well is highly likely to contain high quantities of natural minerals and metals that have dissolved into the water from the shale and other rock formations. The fluid can also contain naturally occurring radioactive material (NORM) and a small proportion of the non-hazardous chemicals added during the fracking process. ๐ ๐ง Let's monitor the negative impacts of fracking and make sure we don't increase the demand on our wastewater treatment companies driving customer prices up โฌ #Sustainability #Fracking #NuclearWaste #Wastewater #Environment #AquaCatalysis Bia Hashmi, Yanru Han, Atif Riaz, Abraham Barde, FHEA, Yibing Zhu, Ph.D., Luke Roebuck

Oil / gas, oil / gas, oil / gas ... the world is just about that! https://buff.ly/4bPTDbE https://buff.ly/49RYMOI In December 2014, โAvrona Nature Reserve in southern Israel was contaminated by approximately five million liters of crude oil from a damaged pipeline (operated by Europe Asia Pipeline co.). The contaminating oil flowed in several channels along the reserve, creating contaminated soil in the streams and clean areas in the banks (Figures 1 and 2). As a result, animals in this habitat were presented with the choice of occupying contaminated or clean, natural habitats. https://buff.ly/3Tjx9Zl Oil-polluted soil tended to be warmer than clean soil and heated clean soil (heating pad areas), reaching a peak temperature of \$55 Cโ60 C around 14:00. Heated clean soil was warmer than non-heated clean soil and cooler than oil-polluted soil, reaching a peak temperature of \$50 Cโ55 C around 14:00. Non-heated clean soil reached a peak temperature of \$45 Cโ50 C. The shelter in each arena provided a thermal refuge. Our answer: ALL CEO BEHIND THIS SHIT NEED a) CLEAN SUCH SHIT! WITH HIGH TEMPERATURE b) deserve a death penalty! (announced once they cleaned that) c) all people working for the government in Israel allowing such shit wiโฆ
