The highly anticipated 4th Collaborative Graduate Education (CGE) course "HPC and Data in Astrophysics" was launched successfully this week on Tue 3rd Sep after months of planning and organizing. For the opening lecture, Prof Chris Power from the University of Western Australia delivered an excellent Introduction for the 12-week long graduate-level course. More than 60% of the enrolled cohort participated in the live webinar and Q&A with enthusiasm and quality questions. The cohort comprises HDR students, ECRs, and scientists from across Australian universities and research institutions. This large CGE joint venture is supported by Intersect and NCI Australia with backing from an independent Organizing Committee and voluntary teaching contributions from a stellar array of professors and scientists in the related fields from across Australia and overseas.
