Recruitment Expert | Builder of Marketing Teams & Digital Media with Impact | Voice for an Inclusive & Neurodiverse Workforce

Everyone deserves their moment in the spotlight—a moment to walk the red carpet, to hear the cheers of family, friends, and even strangers. Last week, my daughter Emmy had hers. She absolutely ROCKED her school’s talent show, sharing her unique spirit, interests, and style with the world. As a parent of neurodivergent children, I know firsthand how much the right environment and supports can unlock incredible potential. Emmy’s school—a place that embraces and celebrates her differences—allows her to shine in ways that might not have been possible elsewhere. This experience coupled with my career in recruiting- has me reflecting on how much this lesson applies to the workplace, too. Creating environments where neurodivergent individuals feel supported, valued, and included isn’t just the right thing to do—it’s how we unlock REAL talent and diverse perspectives for our businesses It’s how we give everyone a chance to walk their own version of the red carpet, whether that’s in a talent show or in the boardroom. For Emmy, her moment came with cheers and applause. For employees, it comes with belonging, opportunity, support, and the recognition they deserve. To Leaders: How can we create more workplaces that celebrate the wonderfully unique qualities of every individual? Let’s build environments that enable everyone to shine. To Emmy: We love the fearfully, wonderfully made YOU. Thank you for inspiring us to see the beauty in every difference. #Neuroinclusion #WorkplaceDiversity #Belonging #InclusionMatters #Leadership #DiversityEquityInclusion
