The development of advanced driver assistance systems (#ADAS) and highly automated driving (#AD) is instrumental in reducing fatalities and severe injuries on the road. Real-world accident scenarios, alongside generic scenarios from Naturalistic Driving Studies (NDS), Field Operational Tests (FOT), and simulator studies, are pivotal in the verification and validation of ADAS and AD functions. The GIDAS-PCM database, the world’s largest pre-crash scenario database, provides in-depth data collected at accident scenes.
