Transforming Valuable Lots: For People, Not Parking. This corner lot on 38th and 7th is currently the site of parking garage which, like half of all parking garages below 60th street, has been deemed unsafe or not filed the DOB required parking structure inspection report. This scenario presents a unique redevelopment opportunity, making the property an ideal candidate for transformation. Redeveloping this site into a hotel or mixed-use building, as indicated in the article, could set a precedent, meeting the increasing market demand. #garmentdistrict #nycrealestate #realestatedevelopment #manhattanrealestate #realestate #nycconstruction
Love this article. Redeveloping land into fresh real estate, whether hotel, mixed use, or, when appropriate, apartments/lofts can revitalize an area, bringing in new jobs and revenue. I wish they did more of this in Dallas instead of continually sprawling outward and developing what little land we have left.
What do you think the odds are of this happening? How long would it take?
Very interesting, I will keep my eye on this to see how it develops. Thanks for the info.
Interesting. A luxury hotel would do great right there!
Love this ! Thanks !
I worked there for over 10 years.

6moInteresting! Do you think the need for garages will decrease at all based on congestion pricing and similar regulations?
