As we prepare for the big game, let's take a moment to appreciate the hard work and meticulous planning that goes into ensuring a seamless supply chain for all the chips, dips, and beverages we'll be enjoying. Did you know that over 100 million people will be tuning in for the Super Bowl, with 1.3 billion chicken wings, 11.2 million pounds of potato chips, and 325 million gallons of beer consumed? It's impressive to see such a surge in demand handled so smoothly, thanks to the careful orchestration of supply chain planning. Speaking of hard work, I used to coach my son's football team, and the message I always emphasized was "hard work beats talent when talent doesn't work hard." It's the players who take their talent and enhance it with a great work ethic who become the true greats, like Tom Brady, Michael Jordan, and Tiger Woods. But you don't have to be a millionaire athlete to make a difference with your hard work and talent. Whether it's in your personal or professional life, you are a vital part of your team and atmosphere. Your work ethic may not always be rewarded, but it does get noticed and teaches others that hard work and talent pay off in the long run. So keep pushing in the right direction, and remember that you are here to make a difference. You may have heard me talk about my very red, extremely active, and extraordinarily, exuberantly, high-strung Golden Retriever, Gumbeaux, or Beaux for short (Yes, we keep the ‘x’ on Beaux because we don’t want to confuse the dog’s name with a human’s name). Anyway, one thing that we learned about Beaux pretty early on is that we needed to have a fenced in yard, we needed to keep him on a leash when we go walk in the afternoons, and we had to train him by popping him with the newspaper when he misbehaves (Believe me, he fears the newspaper!). In other words, he needs us to set boundaries for him, otherwise, he’d be swimming in the bayou every day, eating pizza off the countertop, and would bark at us constantly to play fetch. Essentially, he would be obnoxious – and would be in danger – without rules and being taught what behaviors are allowed and not allowed in our family. So when it comes to difficult employees, aggravating team members, or just those relationships with no boundaries. You, ma friend, likely created this mess. BAM! (In Emeril LaGasse’s voice.) I love jackfruit a lot. Yesterday I got the full fruit and decided cut it by myself.. Jack fruit is sticky and hard.. We need to cut and peel in a way so that we can take juicy sweet yellow fruit out.. When I do this, I couldn't stop comparing this with work place. The yellow juicy thing is value.. We need to have constant focus on Value (what customer wants) and know how to get that from our effort.. Or we else we might lose the fruit among those stickiness and toughness around it.. #value #execution
