Employee Advocacy Programmes at designed so that user generated content can better attract and retain talent. I’m looking forward to hosting Institute of Internal Communication’s series of four webinars this autumn, taking us up to December. We’re covering four critical comms topics: trust, activism, strategy and change. All will be great, and the panels are brilliant. Take a look on the IoIC website (Events) for more info and to book a place. The first one is on trust on 23 September. I don’t think we delve enough into activism. Employees have a growing passion to work for ethical, socially conscious organisations. People want to know a potential employer’s values reflect their own. Organisations need to take a stance on the big issues. What do you want me to ask the panel?
As part of our focus this week on Colleague Experience, have you booked our upcoming virtual panel event which will discuss the rise of employee activism? Join us on 16 October, where our panel will discuss how internal communicators can advise senior leaders in making a stance and how the relationship between internal and external communication colleagues needs to be robust with careful and consistent communication that aligns authentically with stated organisational values. They will also look at if there is a time to stay silent – do we really say it best when we say nothing at all? Our panel of industry experts include: Sarah Meurer, BA. MA, VP Global Internal Communications at Elsevier Justine Stevenson, Internal Communication Director at AQA Stephen Waddington, director of Wadds Inc. Dr Naeema Pasha, Speaker, & Author Book the virtual event: https://ow.ly/voTA50TghVG #ICIndex #InternalComms #ColleagueExperience #Activism

The Balancing Act of Employee Activism 🛂☕ Looking forward to being on this distinguished panel held by the Institute of Internal Communication. This following my piece for The HR World on the aftermath of the UK riots and speaking out on discrimination and attacks (link here https://lnkd.in/ep8b8U-J) Employee activism I feel can be a powerful force for positive change within organisations. By advocating for fair treatment, better working conditions, and ethical practices, employees can improve morale, productivity, and overall company reputation. The data says it helps with engagement and trust! However, activism can also present challenges - such as potential retaliation, job insecurity, and the risk of alienating colleagues or management. So, whose responsibility is it in balancing the desire for change - with the need to maintain a positive working environment is essential for effective #employeeactivism This and more things bound to come up in this Zoom panel. Come join! Link below 👇🏽

REF is recognized as a leader ... again! 🎯 DSMN8 - The Employee Advocacy Platform, has honored us for our efforts in "Employee Social Media Advocacy" within the Management Consulting sector. This recognition is not just a reflection of our work; it's a testament to the power of community and collaboration. DSMN8 carried out research on 174 of the world's biggest Management Consulting companies, crunched the numbers, and analyzed the data to see who had the most active leaders on social. …and then ranked them for good measure 😉 The companies who topped the bill did so because their engaged employees consistently shared content with their networks. Helping to increase brand awareness, share of voice, and showcase industry expertise. So, here's the top to bottom ranking: 1. Expense Reduction Analysts – EMEA, 2. REF, 3. Spaulding Ridge, Transworld Business Advisors, Blanchard, SEI, INTEDYA (International Dynamic Advisors), StatusNeo, ITG Groupe and julhiet sterwen. Amazing work! 👏

Did you know that an employee's personal network is, on average, 10 times larger than a company's? This means that when your team shares your company's vision, values and achievements, it not only amplifies the brand's reach but also builds deeper, more authentic connections. Encouraging employee advocacy is simple: empower your team with shareable content, foster a culture of trust and recognise their powerful impact as brand advocates. #EmployeeAdvocacy #CompanyCulture #Leadership
