Today kicks off Customer Service Week 2024. Celebrated in over 55 countries worldwide, this is a time to recognize the importance of Customer service and the people who serve those Customers. Our leading value at STERIS is ‘Customers First—Always,’ and our Customer Service teams do just that each and every day. We thank our Customer Service teams for their dedication and commitment. Read on to meet one of our Associates who always aims to put our Customers first. Robin is a Project Manager for our strategic accounts team. She says her passion for always prioritizing our Customers comes from knowing that her work significantly helps them to improve patients’ lives. Robin recalls an interaction in which lines of communication were open and transparent throughout the duration of the project. After the Customer’s project was completed, Robin says they emailed her to share stories of success from those patients who benefited from the project. Each October, Global Diversity Awareness Month focuses on recognizing and celebrating the uniqueness that makes up each of us, and the success that comes from bringing our Associates’ individuality together as one STERIS. We recognize the importance of diversity and aim to support each of our 17,000+ Associates as individuals, appreciating what everyone brings to the table. Today is CX Day, or Customer Experience Day. This year’s theme is, “Good CX delivers better outcomes for Customers, employees and organizations,” and at STERIS, our foremost value is Customers First—Always. In addition to the thousands of Customer-facing Associates supporting our Customers in their work, we also have teams dedicated to collecting and analyzing Customer feedback. That information is used across STERIS to constantly look for ways to improve and ensure we meet Customer expectations every day. Tomorrow is World Gratitude Day – a day we at STERIS are very thankful for. (See what we did there?) When we give or receive gratitude, it improves our relationships with others, and at STERIS, we aim to support all our Associates in being their best self. We recently introduced a global program called STERIS Celebrates that encourages our Associates to spread and share gratitude. It provides opportunities to give and receive recognition for reaching service milestones, demonstrating STERIS’s core values, and celebrating personal events such as a marriage or the birth of a child. Our Mobile Solutions team often works with Customers during challenging times, such as through a construction project or even in the aftermath of a natural disaster. It takes a special set of skills to provide support at these times. That’s where Tim, a Mobile Solutions Project Manager, comes in. “A Mobile Solutions Project Manager is a communications conduit. Supporting the design, construction, service and maintenance of a Mobile Sterile Processing Department helps provide a successful and positive Customer experience,” shared Tim. Tim leans on the skills he developed during his time in the U.S. Army to provide our Customers with the best service possible. He joined STERIS almost five years ago and says his role is rewarding because of the professional relationships he’s built with colleagues and Customers, helping them navigate unplanned or unexpected situations. “Having the ability to manage these situations, in both clear and difficult conversations, was a well-developed part of my time at both the U.S. Military Academy and in the U.S. Army,” he shared. “Being a Mobile Solutions Project Manager affords the opportunity to work with a wide variety of people and roles both within and outside of STERIS. I am thankful to be a part of this team.” Read more from Tim below.
