I recently confronted such casual practices with LPG cylinders kept unsupported in a bike trolley while the trolley coming on a slope and one way on the road resulted in falling of a cylinder in front of my car awaiting for green traffic signal but it was horrible as winters at extreme and if there was even few bars pressure inside with such frequently mishandled cylinder and falling near warm car engine could lead to accidents. Similar casual attitudes reflected in above besides question on OSHA SOPs. 3M training from Lean also help such organisations to improve while performing such operation. Risk Analysis Register must be maintained as Lesson Learned ad for Proactive Measures and Trainings in such cases.

Handling suspended or overhead loads requires extra precautions due to the increased risk of falls and serious injuries. Before handling any suspended or overhead loads is recommended to follow some important safety precautions such as: - Have a Proper Planning (determining the weight of the load, evaluating the lifting capacity of the equipment, and ensuring the work area is clear and safe; - Inspect the lifting equipment (crane, forklift, etc.) and the lifting accessories (slings, hooks, etc.); - Use proper lifting equipment and accessories including the Sar Working Load (SWL); - Train the Personnel; - Establish a Clear Communication and Signaling System; - Maintain a safe distance; and . - Follow all applicable safety rules. ARSC President Kathy Blank Trahan, CAE, recently gave an Association Update at the Greater Baton Rouge Industry Alliance, Inc. (GBRIA) Plant Managers' Meeting and spoke about the importance of the reciprocal training model. She also discussed the challenges that sudden shifts in training requirements present for industry's transient workforce.
