Schedule 2-3 specific times to check your email each day! 🗓 While it may be tempting or familiar to let your inbox rule your work day, you will be much more productive if you focus on your top 3 priorities each day and only check your email at scheduled times such as 11:30 am and 4:30 pm, for example. Give it a try this week and observe what happens… You can always go back to what you know! Email can make us feel “connected” — related to our Human Connection theme this month— but we encourage you to connect when the timing is right for you. Even in our fast-paced world, you are not obligated to drop everything and provide people with an immediate response, unless the situation is truly urgent ⏰ . . . . #EmailProductivity #WorkLifeBalance #MaximizeProductivity #HumanConnectionMatters #DigitalWellness #FocusOnPriorities

What you out of office auto responder should not say: I'll get back to you as soon as possible. It conveys that you are diligent, and it shows you are not discerning about what should be responded to with urgency. We respect people more who are in control of their agenda and non reactive to whatever happens to come into their inbox. It's also not sincere because of course we receive many emails whilst out of office that we have no intention of responding to as soon as possible. Simple say you are away and will be back on whichever date. Leave an agreed alternative contact if it's related to an urgent piece of collaborative work. #productivity #wellbeing #email
