Journal of Pharmaceutical Sciences topic cluster on co-processed active pharmaceutical ingredients (APIs) This cluster issue is centered around the proceedings from a 2-day workshop 1 held in July 2022 sponsored by the FDA and the University of Maryland Centred for Excellence in Regulatory Science and Innovation (M-CERSI). The workshop explored recent advances in co-processed APIs and discussed options for commercializing these transformative technologies. Regulatory considerations were discussed with a focus on classification and CMC (Chemistry, Manufacturing, and Controls) documentation needed to support the use of co-processed APIs in clinical studies and commercial products.
