Combination therapy of chemotherapy drugs and nanotubes represents a growing strategy to enhance treatment efficacy. Jingai Chen and his colleagues pointed out the effective role of nanotubes in an article entitled Single-walled carbon nanotubes as a logical way for targeted drug delivery to tumors. These studies showed that single-walled carbon nanotubes in pharmaceuticals can act as a very effective solution and also provided pharmaceutical delivery with high therapeutic doses. Several days ago the UK health authority, MHRA, approved Amgen’s bone cancer drug Xgeva (denosumab) which is notable as the first drug submitted through the international recognition procedure (IRP). The IRP started this January and shortens applications to 60-110 days, instead of the current 150-days. The process includes regulators denoted as trusted.
