What is your favorite Christmas memory about Santa? Were you excited, afraid, or did you see him as your ticket to get more toys? Since my mom’s name is Mary Christmas (really) and “Merry Christmas, Mary Christmas” was a year round greeting. We have heard a lot of Christmas stories and Christmas was a big deal around our house all year. Over the years, I have learned that Santa Claus is the world-wide personality and leading authority on the leadership skills needed to deliver Christmas on time every year. For example: - He makes a list and checks it twice. - Santa is deadline driven and a bias for action. - Santa is highly organized. - Santa says, “It Takes a Team.” How was Santa described at your house? How did Santa get so much done in one day? What is your favorite memory and how do you see Santa Claus as a Leader? What can you and I learn from Santa? (Hmmm...) The Santa Laws book is not a book about Christmas and Santa. It is a book that demonstrates leadership skills in the context of Christmas and simple enough for a child to understand and apply.

I love Santa Claus. I absolutely love him. Whatever may be going on in my mind, however sad, dejected or busy I may be, the Christmas decoration always fill my heart with hope and joy. Santa is just not a mythical figure, to me it has always been a beacon of leadership, team work and inspiration. Here are some of the lessons, I have learnt from him 1. Value time - Have you seen or heard anyone not receiving gifts 🎁 as Santa is late. Lesson to be learnt- Always be on time, things even if get done after a time loses its charm. 2. Believe in Team work - Santa Claus is the face of Christmas but for making it successfull, he requires help of his entire team or say family. Lesson to be learnt- We are nothing without support of our team members or family. Our success is their success. 3. Lead from the front - Santa doesn't sit idle and do nothing. He is there working hard in midst of the chaos and huge deadlines to get things done. Lesson to be learnt - A good leader just doesn't order, he or she gets down, gets hand dirty shoulder to shoulder with everyone. 4. Always be cheerful - Humongous orders, tight deadline, busy schedule still he greets you with "HO! HO! HO ! Merry Christmas 🎄" Lesson to be learnt - One may be very busy in life but still can find time to be happy and cheerful and make others as well. There are so many traits in that figurehead, that I can keep on writing. But that I save for the next Christmas. Wishing you all a Merry, Jolly and Happy Christmas 🎄🎁🎁 #christmas #christmasgreetings #greetings #santaclaus #santa #christmasgifts #christmasparty #lifeadvice #lifelessons #inspiration #motivation #inspirationalleader #cheerful

Everyone remembered the Nilla Wafers and taco nights. Had the honor of attending a celebration of life for a 99- and 103-year-old couple who passed within a year of one another. As I didn’t know the couple well, I wasn’t sure what to expect from the service or to be as deeply moved as I was by the stories that were shared. I was struck by how much of my time I spend thinking about things that won’t make much of a difference in the impact I make during my short time here. As I think about the legacy I leave, I will look to Marg and Lloyd for the example they set. My takeaways: • What their children, grandchildren and great grandchildren remembered most was their love, the way they lived their lives, and how they treated others. • Memories were mostly about quality time spent with family (often over tacos and Nilla wafers). Traditions matter. • What they said mattered much less than what they did. How does this relate to my approach to work and life? • The relationships I build along the way are worth far more than the title or the paycheck. • The traditions we create don’t have to be Instaworthy, they just have to be real. • The moments matter. Between coworkers, friends and families. Take the time, make the connections. Everyone wins.

So excited to announce the release of my book (journal) “How Do I Love Thee? Let Me Write the Ways - 365 Days Of Sharing Gratitude & Appreciation With The One You Love” My hope is it creates a ripple effect of gratitude and positivity to all that use it!! Description: Spend a couple of minutes each day for a year jotting down the things you love and appreciate about your loved one. Be it your spouse, partner, child, or friend, they will love reading all of your observations when you gift it to them when the year is done. What should you write? It can be little things like something they said, how they interact with your children, how beautiful they looked cuddled on the couch reading a book, or the smile they shot you from across the room. It could also be something big, like giving up a night out on the town to stay home and take care of you when you are sick. WARNING: This may change your relationship BIG TIME. Not only are they going to be moved by seeing themselves through your eyes, but by focusing on their positive attributes, you will start to see them differently (in a good way). By making a daily conscious effort to look for their good qualities, you will find yourself starting to show up differently for them as well (also in a good way). In my book, that’s a great big win/win, and who doesn’t like to win?! I am so excited for you to embark on this journey of gratitude with the one you love! Enjoy.
