Youth AIDS is a topic that always leaves my heart weighing a little heavier each time knowing that this relentless virus impacts many young lives. It's a stark reality that, according to Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, 53 cases of HIV in children younger than 13 were diagnosed in the US in 2021 alone. Reflecting on this, I'm reminded of the vulnerability of our youth, particularly when it comes to perinatal transmission of HIV—where the virus can pass from a parent to their child during pregnancy, childbirth, or breastfeeding. But amidst the challenges, there's hope. Advances in HIV medicines and preventive strategies have significantly lowered the rate of perinatal transmission to 1% or less in our country. This progress is a testament to the power of education, awareness, and access to healthcare. As a parent myself, I understand the importance of ensuring our young ones have the knowledge and resources they need to protect themselves. That's why at HealthyMD, we're dedicated to providing comprehensive sexual health education and accessible healthcare services for people of all ages. If you or someone you know is struggling with HIV treatment, please know that you're not alone. HealthyMD is here to offer support and guidance every step of the way. Happy National Condom Day! 🎉 At Luther Consulting, we believe in promoting health and well-being for all. Today, as we celebrate National Condom Day, we highlight the power of education, awareness, and accessibility when it comes to sexual health. Condoms play a vital role in protecting against sexually transmitted infections and unplanned pregnancies. They are a simple yet effective tool for practicing safer sex. Here are three reasons why we celebrate National Condom Day: 1️⃣ Protection: Condoms are a barrier method that can significantly reduce the risk of contracting HIV and other sexually transmitted infections. Everyone deserves the right to make informed choices and protect themselves and their partners. 3️⃣ Collaboration: National Condom Day brings together organizations, healthcare professionals, and individuals to raise awareness about safer sex practices. By working together, we can create a world where everyone has access to the resources they need for a healthy and fulfilling life. Join us in celebrating National Condom Day, and prioritizing sexual health, breaking stigmas, and building a future free from the burden of preventable infections *every* day of the year. Condom Availability Programs (CAPs) have been pivotal in curbing HIV, STIs, and teen pregnancies since the 1990s. A 2023 survey highlights schools' reliance on condoms, with Vermont leading as the first state to mandate free condom availability in secondary schools in 2021. We commend initiatives that prioritize sexual health education and equitable access to essential resources like condoms for all. #condoms #sexualhealth #condom #sex #condomnews

One of the gravest challenges affecting teenagers today is misinformation. Many young people lack access to the right information; or paradoxically: they access too much false and misleading information from the internet. The different social media platforms make this worse. From deceitful accounts, teenagers get false information and impressions about quite delicate topics which lead many astray. Through partnerships and fund-support, we aim to avail proper information about delicate concerns such as managing adolescence, sex, STDs, teenage pregnancies, HIV/AIDs and other principal health concerns so as to alleviate misinformation and it’s adverse effects. #uganda #socialmedia #misinformation #internet
