Did you know? Per- and polyfluoroalkyl substances (PFAS) are highly toxic human-made compounds found in everyday products like plastics and cookware. These "forever chemicals" are incredibly persistent and pose significant health risks, including immune system changes. PFAS (perfluoroalkyl and polyfluoroalkyl substances) are often referred to as "forever chemicals," but they could just as easily be known as "everywhere chemicals." These chemical substances are detectable in the body fluids of at least 97% of Americans, and they can be found in at least 200 different use categories and applications. Many of these products are things that we use daily, like dental floss (but we're not saying you shouldn't floss!). While the health effects of forever chemicals are still being explored, evidence suggests that they can cause health issues.
