I have been doing this job for the best part of ten years now (had a stint doing M&A in between). The main reasons why people are motivated to leave have not changed in this industry as a Financial Planner since I first started in 2010, it’s really simple; 1)       Not being given enough leads 2)       Not having enough back office support (admin and paraplanning) 3)       Not feeling valued and or bonus system not in line with the market. The Retiring Adviser has been with the firm for a number of years so not much will be changing bar you as the adviser. 2)       Admin and paraplanning support will be provided, the main emphasis for these guys is that you are in front of clients as much as possible. 3)       A Salary up to £70,000 Basic and a very generous bonus structure meaning that earning above £100,000 is very realistic. 4)       And as an additional point…You’ll also be working from home but with access to the offices if you want to pop in to see colleagues. It's a choice you have to make. Three and a half years I was working formally in a real estate company where I and other colleagues experienced FRUSTRATION. No appreciation for the dedication we had to keep the company running, delayed salaries and sometimes no salaries at all! After sometime I evaluated the costs I incurred to go to work daily, in just hope to get the unpaid salaries...but somehow the maths weren't adding up. One morning I decided not to show up at work. No one called to ask whether all is well, whether I'll be showing up or any of my whereabouts. That moment I realized the company never really saw the value in us. Just that we never had a choice.
