The Toasts are a feature at most Wedding Receptions. But did you know there are actual guidelines? I photograph many weddings, so hold onto your seats. WEDDING TIP: if you know your crowd rally wants to dance the night away...consider cutting your wedding cake immediately after dinner, but before your First Dance. This will eliminate the need to stop the party and clear the dance floor in the middle of the event. In addition, this will also present another opportunity for you to thank the guests for coming or have 1 or 2 more additional toasts while everyone is seated. The cake can now be served as dessert with the coffee and the photographer can capture these moments and segue right into the First Dance.
