Saw a cool pro tip reminder from a cupcake bakery this weekend: 💡Turn your “mess” into “success”. Burn the cupcakes? 🧁 Don’t throw them out…put a spin on it, add character, rebrand it (e.g. crispy critters) and sell at a discount. Brilliant! Some of the worlds greatest inventions came from mistakes. - Lightbulbs - Gortex - “post it” notes - the slinky - Wheaties - the pacemaker - plastics - the color mauve💜 - Penicillin No matter what you’re working on, there’s always a silver lining for opportunity and change… IF you look for it. How #flexible are you? We are on day 3 of a long journey. Yesterday the truck hitched a bit starting. So we ran by an Auto Zone - the battery is strong, but the starter is failing. Where do we find a shop who can get us in and not destroy our schedule? Plus it’s July 4th holiday week! My family remembers us moving ourselves once in the military with a UHaul. Every day was a new issue - starter, tire, muffler. The tire blew at 3:30 PM on 3 July in west Texas as shops were closing for the weekend. It took us 9-hrs to get it fixed but we were back on the road the next morning. We have a plan today and are executing our plan. Seeing John Knotts post today on big picture and specific tasks. We know what needs to be done and how we want to keep the vacation going. Timely! So again, how flexible are you?
