Hi Friends, I started my channel 2 years back and steadily I reached 200K views. This would not have been possible with your love and support. I am always grateful. On Friday we had a wonderful session where we discussed all the different ways of Moving the database from on-premises to Azure SQL. Unlike Azure Managed instance we can't make use of native backup/restore methodology. 1) From SSMS we explored extract Data tier Application (DACPAC)                                                           2) From SSMS we explored export Data tier Application (BACPAC)                                                           3) From SSMS we explored upload to Azure SQL Database                                                                4) From Azure Data studio we explored on how to carry out                                                               5) Finally about SQLpackage.exe We also discussed the blockers with respect to cross database queries and how to overcome using elastic database queries. Finally the blockers with respect to orphaned logins and how to overcome that using SQLpackage.
