On 11th September 2024, I successfully completed my summer internship with #BrittainHadley. I would like to extend a special thanks to the incredible team at #BrittainHadley for their continuous support and guidance throughout the internship. During this time, I had the privilege of working on a variety of projects that allowed me to develop invaluable skills such as #problemsolving, #criticalthinking, #attentiontodetail, and #communicationskills. One of the most notable projects I contributed to involved replacing combustible cladding with non-combustible cladding on a seven-story building, and another project was carrying out repairs to a listed building, which I worked on from start to finish. I also carried out multiple site inspections across different locations to ensure that each project was progressing smoothly and met high standards. Writing detailed site reports was a key part of my role, allowing me to further develop strong communication and technical writing skills. Throughout my time at #BrittainHadley, I gained #projectmanagement, #teamwork, #communication and #siteinspection experience, enhancing my understanding of the construction process from inception to completion. Intern Spotlight! ✨ Name: Amaresh Kumar Tavva What school do you attend? I am getting my Masters of Science in Construction Management at Clemson University. How did you find your internship here at Ruby-Collins? I found this internship through one of my friends who was an intern last year! Then I applied online and started the interview process. Why did you choose a major/internship in the construction industry? I have a passion for working on real and practical projects. There is a deep sense of pride and satisfaction that comes with building structures from seeing a project through conception to completion. What do you do outside of school for fun? I love reading books, traveling to new places, learning how to invest, and watching lots of movies. What is your favorite part of your internship so far? My favorite part of this internship is working in the trenchless division. Being involved in a tunneling project has always been one of my dreams. What was your childhood dream job?
