Such a great way to compare the difference between a linear way of doing business vs a circular way of doing business (video focus is deconstruction/construction, but can be related to how to treat products as well). Accelerating towards a circular economy is so important! If only we (businesses and infrastructure globally) were further ahead. #construction #manufacturing #circualrity #circulareconomy

I like to re-share 'The Story of Two Homes' often because never has an animated squirrel done so much to compellingly advocate for a circular built environment. 🐿️♻️ Environmental stats can be complex to communicate: landfill tonnage, embodied and operational carbon, diversion percentages, etc. But the adverse impacts of landfilling on the lived experiences of people, and the natural environments we all enjoy, are very real. Animations and similar mediums can help demystify esoteric numbers, ignite curiosity and interest, and inspire action. The message of this video applies everywhere; only the local numbers change. Asphalt Art Project ++ [city tactic] "Asphalt Art Initiative responds to the growing number of cities around the world embracing art as an effective and relatively low-cost strategy to activate their streets. 📽 Unveiling an Immersive Documentary on Inclusive Design 📽 Official Trailer: Through My Eyes: Navigating the Built Environment I have been fortunate in countless ways throughout my life, too many to count! Today, I'm thrilled to share a particular blessing close to my heart: having a truly unique life perspective of the world around me. Being born with cerebral palsy has fueled my passion for inclusive design. During my 25+ years career in the AEC industry, and as a licensed architect, I feel I have a platform to share my design voice. Navigating the built environment with a disability like mine brings daily challenges and endless inspiration. As part of DLR Group’s Personal Development Grant program, I have been given an incredible opportunity to pursue my passion project: An immersive documentary titled, "Through My Eyes: Navigating the Built Environment." This immersive documentary will offer viewers a firsthand glimpse into the challenges faced by individuals with mobility issues, spotlighting design elements that impact accessibility. By sharing my journey and insights, my hope is to inspire a new wave of inclusive design discussions and decisions within our communities.
