One valuable energy-saving function of the Helvar Components LED drivers is Constant Light Output (CLO). The CLO can be switched on with the Helvar Driver Configurator (HDC), and the parameters can be modified through it. CLO is a function that uses two parameters: user given lifetime of the LED module and expected lumen depreciation of the LED module during that lifetime. Based on these parameters, the driver adjusts the start level to the given lower depreciation level and then increases the output slowly so that the end of a lifetime (EOL) will be at the nominal 100% output of the driver. This means that the LED driver will compensate the LED chip lumen degradation over time. The benefit of CLO is that it reduces the wasted energy spent when driving the LED modules initially at higher outputs than necessary. CLO ensures that the light level and energy consumption are at the optimal level from the very beginning, which contributes to more efficient, optimised, and sustainable facilities. Ultimately this all saves energy, which benefits the company and the environment. Today I would like to introduce the difference between isolated drives and non-isolated drives. The schematic diagram of the non-isolated driver shows clearly that its input and output terminals are connected to a common ground, so the input and output are connected. Unlike non-isolated drivers, an isolated driver has its input and output terminals isolated by a transformer. The input and output are insulated, and energy is transferred through electromagnetic conversion through the transformer. This is also why the efficiency of isolated drivers is often lower than that of non-isolated drivers, but isolated drivers are safer than non-isolated drivers, greatly reducing the risk of electric shock. #isolateddriver #nonisolateddriver #introduce #leddriver #ledpowersupply #chinamanufacturer
