Now this content is COLD! 🥶 The NHL and ice hockey in general face a great deal of challenges when it comes to short form video content. 👇 With fast and wide play, glaring ice and a puck moving at the speed of light it’s easy to see why ice hockey leagues and franchises have it hard. 🙃 With that being said, the NHL & Edmonton through the use of timed audio, arrival scenes and press conference footage have curated an engaging, ice cold piece of content. ❄️ What stands out to me here is how the content team used team chant audio and commentary audio samples to make fans feel closer to the ice and each individual play 🪟 A lesson for all sports franchises here is perhaps to not perfect one piece of content but rather combine all kinds of footage and audio at their disposal to create a longer, more narrated story using pre-game, in-game and post-match footage. 🎥 Imagine if all results in sports had game recaps as engaging as this? 🪄 Credits: NHL & Edmontonoilers #content #sportscontent #digisports #smsports #digicontent #rangers #nhl #icehockey #linkedinsports #edmontonoilers

Breaking away from tradition, TGL celebrates a new era with its innovative rules, setting it apart as the pioneer in simulator golf leagues. Here's a glimpse of what's in store: — Shot Clock In TGL, players must act fast, with only 40 seconds allotted for each shot. Fail to swing within the time limit, and a one-stroke penalty awaits. Enforced by a vigilant referee, the shot clock keeps the game moving, resetting after every turn. — Timeouts Strategic timeouts add a twist to the gameplay. Teams can call upon four timeouts per match, strategically deploying a maximum of two per session. Notably, timeouts reset the shot clock without any penalties. Picture this: a crucial moment, an opponent lining up a shot, and suddenly, a timeout freezes the action. Will the pressure get to them? — Referee Just like in traditional team sports, TGL appoints an official referee to oversee the proceedings. Positioned on the field alongside the golfers, the referee ensures fair play. Additionally, a booth referee monitors the action via video feed, ensuring accuracy and integrity throughout the game. saw this picture last night on Twitter..I didn't listen to the podcast, but I believe it's a four part series about the history of the Indianapolis Colts..The old Hoosier/RCA Dome was built in 1983 in hopes of getting a NFL team..The dome had a lot of blue seats in it, and the Baltimore Colts were actually blue..The BAL Colts moved in the middle of the night to leave for Indy..The old dome looked like a lot of other NFL stadiums when it was built and was supposed to boost the economy for Indy by hosting big events and conventions..It did for a while but got outdated in the early 2000s when some NFL teams were building newer and nicer stadiums..The old dome hosted a lot of Colts games, some conventions, and a lot of NCAA basketball games but was too small to host the college football championship or Super Bowl..The dome was last used in 2007-08 school year..Lucas Oil Stadium opened up in Fall 2008 and has hosted football, soccer, basketball, lacrosse, and swimming events.. 💺 🏢 🛣 🏈 🏀 #facilitymanagement #eventmanagement #urbanplanning #sportbusiness #logistics #marketing #hospitality

Among those tools are our SMT OPTICS pointers and "bug hug" enhancements, both triggered from our PPT system. "ESPN’s graphics team continues to have creative fun with the data funneled to it by the league via graphics partner SMT’s NHL EDGE player- and puck-tracking system. One of the more popular efforts to come from that relationship is ESPN’s use of real-time player-pointer graphics to identify the skater with the puck during a power play. "Another graphical enhancement is what the crew calls a 'bug hug.' That’s simply the combination of a stat or note about a player extending from the scorebug while that player is identified by a circle on the ice."
