3 Easy Ways to Find Joy in Everyday Tasks Original Content Creator: Suren Samarchyan (Give him a follow) ---------- Here's how I learned to find joy in everyday tasks: 1. Practice active gratitude Reframe “I have to” to “I get to”. Instead of: “I have to take out the trash.” You can say: “I get to step outside and enjoy the fresh air.” Rather than: "I have to do the laundry." Think: "I get to have clean clothes that help me feel confident." Instead of: "I have to respond to emails." How about: "I get to connect with others and move projects forward." 2. Find small joys in the task Use the moment to engage your senses. Every day, I use the same water bottle. I know it’s important to stay hydrated. But I chose this particular one because I love how its texture feels in my hand. Maybe it’s a favorite pen, the warmth of a fresh blanket, or the tidiness of an organized space. Add things that bring a bit of joy to your day. 3. Turn chores into a mindful reset Pause and be present, even briefly. Wipe down your desk and notice the clean surface. Pay your bills or do your taxes and pause to feel a sense of accomplishment. Sort packages for recycling and appreciate the act of reducing clutter. Rather than rushing through chores, savor these moments. And guess what... Neuroscience backs this up: — Gratitude boosts dopamine. — Completing tasks releases serotonin. — Mindful activity reduces stress hormones. You don't need to wait for a major milestone. Happiness lives in the here and now. Peace & Joy, Suren ---------- ♻ 𝐋𝐢𝐤𝐞, 𝐂𝐨𝐦𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭, 𝐑𝐞𝐩𝐨𝐬𝐭 to share with your network ♻
