Post completion of the remediation contract with HBD during 2024, Mitchell Design and Construction Ltd are pleased to announce the commencement of the main contract works with HBD and their JV partner Feldberg Capital at INTER, Tewin Road, Welwyn Garden City. “ORIGIN” is the new partnership that will bring forward high specification, sustainable, speculative industrial logistic units to the market place throughout the UK. Welwyn Garden City is one of the first schemes to be constructed under this joint venture. The contract is to build a new 6,619m2 industrial logistics building, sub divided into 3 units, each with their own self-contained fully fitted offices. The units will become available during Q4 2025. Development across the Boston area is slowing as high interest rates and inflation make builders more hesitant to start new projects. But when the next wave of development comes, it will notably not take place downtown, in the Seaport or even Back Bay. It’ll be in underutilized stretches of Dorchester and Somerville, and historically industrial tracts of Allston, Charlestown and South Boston.

🏙️ San Antonio Reshaped: A City Transformed, One Project at a Time 20 major projects are reshaping our beloved Alamo City! From downtown high-rises to expansive developments, we're witnessing a transformation that's hard to miss. I'm particularly thrilled about the BESA project by Fulcrum Development and GrayStreet Partners. This planned 20-acre mixed-use development across from Pearl Brewery is worth following to see how it unfolds! While construction hasn't begun yet, the potential to transform the area is immense. Phase 1 kicks off with 175,000 sq ft of retail and parking, potentially starting next year. But what's got me excited are the future phases: Up to 1,000 apartments plus half the space dedicated to food and beverage? #liveworkplay! Some other exciting projects to keep an eye on: The Rock at La Cantera: A massive 45-acre development by Spurs Sports & Entertainment! (Go Spurs Go) Hemisfair redevelopment: Construction began in November 2023, with a projected completion in 2027, including a 200-room hotel and another residential tower! 300 Main: A 32-story high-rise by Weston Urban. As the year ends it is only fitting to look at the years to come. Our city is growing in every direction. It's truly exciting to think about how San Antonio's skyline and urban landscape will transform over the next 5+ years.
