Man, Stoke team is moving super fast. It's legit a little inspiring.
Not sure how accurate your little TV picture is, but you should totally add doors that slide out to the side on a rail rather than retracting under the deck (for every reason you can think of).

🔮 RIDDLE TIME 🔮
"I am a force unseen,
yet without me,
your tech would be unclean.
I solve your problems, big and small,
without me,
your system would fall.
I'm not a person, but I have a team,
working around the clock,
in your machine's dream.
What am I?" 🤔

2023 has been a great year in terms of learnings & has given me diverse & fulfilling experiences. As we are at doorstep of 2024, I would like to share some of my key learnings (that we often overlook in the product space) with everyone on how to build better products for 2024 & beyond -
#1 Simplification is 'key'
- We always operate under the assumption that "more is always better". We try and seek the "complexity unicorn", thinking that more of this would provide both customer & business value.
- Alas, that is not the case most of the time. To add insult to injury, we add even more complexity to our products/solutions in most situations where we see things not going the correct way, thinking the situation will become better.
- However, that is not the case. Making simple products has a long list of advantages often overlooked - easier onboarding/user acceptance, shorter time to market, less costly to make & support, etc.
- It is easy for us to get trapped in the game of seeking the "complexity unicorn". Hence lets strive & embrace simplicity in our product development to make products/solutions better.
#2 Question all constraints as much as possible
- Many a time we encounter a number of constraints while building products. These may include constraints around vendors, technologies to be used, processes to be followed, etc. Most often we accept constraints as they are and attempt to deal with them with exhaustive strategies and plans
- As product folks, we should constantly question such constraints - why do they exist? how does these help? Such questioning stirs conversations if the given constraint is actually a "constraint" or it can help us better understand the objective/behavior/action that was intended to be demonstrated due to the constraint
- Questioning helps us reduce scope (if possible) or can help us better strategize dealing with constraints. I learnt about this theoretically some time back from this video on YouTube - https://lnkd.in/dNkRpU6W, where a YouTuber and Elon Musk were discussing how SpaceX is going about building Starship.
#3 Better prioritization with consistent customer & stakeholder engagement
- Deciding priorities (both strategic & tactical) is one of the key decision making aspects of product folks. Partner teams (especially development & design teams) constantly look up to their product folks for constant guidance around priorities.
- Engaging customers & all required stakeholders on a consistent basis helps product folks stay on top of the priorities that add the most customer & business value
- The same helped in making decisions based on fresh facts & conversations & also allows one to stay as agile as possible as an added advantage.
The above seem obvious on first read, however I have realized that self-realization itself is a powerful teacher. Hence, we should embrace the obvious & look forward to a fun, exciting & value adding 2024!
Only tests, trials and experiments lead us to success. 🎯
Without it, we would not have cars 🚗, planes 🛩️ and other benefits of civilization 🍻.
However, let's remember Icarus 🪦

🔬 Pilot Study Success: Unlocking Lower Half for Efficiency with Newtforce!
🚀 Results:
📶 Average Fastball Velocity Increase: +1.9 mph
🎯All Subjects Experienced Velocity Gains
At NewtForce, we're redefining how the best pitching coaches in the world train their pitcher's lower half with our innovative mound. We're not sitting on the sidelines; we're actively exploring new simple ways to personalize lower-half training
It's early, but we could wait to share our preliminary findings. In our recent Pilot study that took place over the course of eight weeks, we ran a small group of high school pitchers through our lower-half development program. This wasn't just about increasing velocity; it was just as much about effectively training your lower half to generate velocity more efficiently, with benefits that extend beyond the radar gun.
We'll continue to expand the study and share more results as they come in.
