‘ARÍNZANO ETERNIDAD’ IS ADORNED WITH ART AND CREATIVITY Each bottle of this white wine invites you to embark on a sensory journey and becomes a piece of art in itself. Each bottle of Arínzano Eternidad tells a story, adorned with a fragment of the artwork by Teresa J. Cuevas, perfectly capturing the magic surrounding this winery in 500 unique labels. The mastery, care, and perfection of the winemaker José Manuel Rodríguez, combined with the creativity and elegance of Teresa, have created a wine that is art both inside and outside the bottle. Two souls destined to meet and unite in space-time. An artwork as a Label The horizon presented by the wine "Arínzano Eternidad" is complex yet simple at the same time. A wine where imagination, passion, and creativity converge in every glass. Teresa J. Cuevas brings the landscape into the souls of consumers abstractly, inviting introspection and reflection. The environment, mystery, and nature surrounding Arínzano are captured in each elegant stroke. Simplicity graces the work from the beginning and becomes more complex as layers, nuances, and details are added. This parallels the wine-making process, reflecting the landscape: the light symbolizes the soil's minerality; the peace generated by the Ega River's water; the balance rooted in history and the infinite layers and lines of past and future experiences, intertwined in the linearity of the vineyards. Each bottle is a unique piece, as each label is a fragment of the artwork, and the union of the 500 bottles completes it. Arínzano Eternidad Arínzano Eternidad is the ultimate expression of the estate's variety, showcasing its remarkable aging potential. This wine is crafted using a blend of vintages (criaderas y soleras), where time stands still. A deep golden wine, extremely expressive, with notes of candied fruit, honey, tobacco, custard, and mentholated balsamic hints. Arínzano Eternidad is an ode to the Chardonnay grape, following the wines Arínzano Pureza and Arínzano Armonía. These three limited edition wines are the result of a meticulous and long-awaited project aimed solely at respecting the character of Arínzano's Chardonnay from the Canteras parcel, the estate's most qualitative plot. Arínzano and Art For nearly 1000 years, Arínzano has cultivated the mystery of time and nature. Entering Arínzano transports you away from the worldly noise to the serenity of the winery designed by architect Rafael Moneo. With the label of Arínzano Eternidad, the commitment to art is reaffirmed, adding to the aim of achieving the utmost expression of the variety, terroir, nature, history, and artistic value.

### Executive Summary: Sensory Elegance in Verse - The Essence of Hawkes Bay **Title:** "Sensory Elegance in Verse: The Essence of Hawkes Bay" The poetry vividly captures the essence and sensory perceptions tied to the distinguished wines and lush landscapes of Hawkes Bay and Napier. Through a series of twenty-five stanzas, the poem traverses the divine connection between the land's produce and the emotional resonance found within each glass of wine, portraying an intricate dance of flavors, aromas, and memories that define the region's viticulture and its impact on both local and universal scales. **Sensory Perception and Essence of Taste:** The verses adeptly navigate the reader through a sensory journey, emphasizing the taste, sight, and emotional depth of wine consumption. The poetry highlights how each variety of wine, from Sauvignon Blanc to Pinot Noir, carries with it a story - a reflection of the land, the climate, and the winemaker’s intent. This sensory journey is not merely about the act of drinking wine but about experiencing the narratives and emotions bottled within each variety, from the tears of Christ in white wines to the blood thirst quenched by reds. **Emotional Resonance and Reflection:** The poem delves into the emotional connection individuals have with wine, portraying it as a medium through which one can express and alleviate their sorrows, celebrate joys, and reflect upon life’s complexities. It speaks to the universal appeal of wine as a source of comfort, inspiration, and reflection, capable of transcending ordinary moments into extraordinary ones. **Nature and Human Connection:** Moreover, the poetry emphasizes the deep connection between nature and human creativity, illustrating how the lush landscapes of Hawkes Bay and Napier contribute to the divine essence of their wines. This connection is portrayed as a symbiotic relationship, where the land's fertility and beauty are reflected in the richness and complexity of the wines produced, thereby highlighting the interdependence of human endeavors and natural gifts. **Conclusion:** "Sensory Elegance in Verse: The Essence of Hawkes Bay" is a poetic homage to the rich tapestry of tastes, emotions, and natural beauty that defines Hawkes Bay’s wine culture. It serves not only as a celebration of the region's viticultural excellence but also as a testament to the profound sensory and emotional experiences that wine, as a product of nature and human craftsmanship, can evoke. This poetry encapsulates the essence of taste and the sensory perception that makes Hawkes Bay’s wines not just beverages, but vessels of stories and emotions, inviting readers to explore and cherish the divine whispers of the land.

Detours from Design : The Black Grape Surprise 😯 While I was designing composition cards for a vineyard website, I stumbled upon a detour - learning that white wines can actually emerge from black grapes. Although I had never tasted wine, but in my understanding, if I crush a bunch of grapes, the juice that comes out would be red🍷. So I wondered how a white color could be extracted from black grapes which give red juice when crushed. This seeming contradiction led me to explore further. What I discovered is that it's quite simple - the juice from any grape, even intensely purple or crimson varieties, is relatively light and clear in color when first extracted. The deep, vivid reds we associate with red wines come from the pigments in the grape skins, not the juice itself. For white wines made from red or black grape varieties, the juice is quickly separated from the colored skins after pressing to avoid any significant color transfer. therefore helping to extract golden white wine from even the darkest grapes out there. although straightforward, learning that white wines can be made from black grapes was an interesting discovery. This accidental detour from my design work allowed me to unexpectedly gain new knowledge about winemaking processes. Have you ever encountered any surprising detours while designing something that made you curious to explore and learn about it? I'd love to hear about your detour stories. Please share your detours in the comments below. 🙂

Aging wine in terracotta, also known as clay or amphora, is a winemaking technique that has historical roots and is gaining popularity among some modern winemakers. Here are a few reasons why wine might be aged in terracotta: 🍇 Micro-Oxygenation: Terracotta is porous, allowing for a slow and controlled exchange of oxygen between the wine and the environment. This micro-oxygenation can contribute to the wine's evolution, helping it mature more gracefully and develop complex flavors and aromas. 🍇 Temperature Stability: Terracotta vessels offer good insulation and temperature stability. This can be beneficial for aging wine, as consistent temperatures help maintain the chemical reactions responsible for flavor development and maturation. 🍇 Natural Fermentation: Some winemakers choose terracotta for fermentation and aging because it allows for a more natural and gentle process. The porous nature of the clay can contribute to a subtle exchange of flavors between the vessel and the wine. 🍇 Minimal Intervention: Terracotta aligns with the philosophy of minimal intervention winemaking. Using these vessels may mean avoiding the influence of other materials like oak, allowing the true expression of the grape and the terroir to shine through. 🍇 Preservation of Freshness: Terracotta is less porous than wood, which means it imparts fewer flavors to the wine. This can be desirable when the winemaker wants to preserve the freshness and purity of the fruit character. 🍇 Historical and Cultural Significance: Aging wine in terracotta vessels connects with ancient winemaking traditions. This practice is a revival of historical methods, adding a cultural and artisanal dimension to winemaking.

💡 RETHINKING BOTTLES: FROM GLASS TO ALUMINIUM 🌎 From a Californian winery, the new Element[AL] portfolio will be available in 100% recyclable aluminium bottles with four varietals: Chardonnay, Pinot Grigio, Rosé and Pinot Noir. 🍾 “Element[AL] is more than just the launch of a new wine brand, It is the beginning of a new way of thinking for the wine industry”, says the winery: championing the environmental and practical advantages of the smaller and lighter format, which is just 90 g in weight compared to a typical 500 g for glass bottles. 🏷️ Unlike traditional glass bottles, Element[AL]’s giftable bottle is label-less and is dressed in a 360 deco design printed directly on the bottle featuring bespoke hand-drawn artwork that is unique to each varietal. The key decision was to embrace the design capabilities of the aluminium bottle rather than trying to emulate the traditional wine bottle. 🌱 Bottling a wine in aluminium requires new equipment specifically designed and installed. From an ecological point of view, aluminium bottles are easier to recycle and store. ➡️ Extract from Food Navigator’s article:

ProWein 2024 packaging designs that caught our eye🍷 Reflecting on an enriching experience at the leading trade fair for the wine and spirits industry last week in Düsseldorf, we took this opportunity to spark our creativity and immerse ourselves in the latest packaging trends… and let’s say we were not disappointed. Here's our curated selection of packaging trends that deserve the spotlight: 🪵 Wood cases & sets: Opting for wood is not just a matter of aesthetics. It evokes the barrels found in wine cellars, as well as the natural aspect of wine. 🖼️ Cultural references: Including cultural references on labels is a good opportunity to highlight the wine's provenance through cultural heritage. 🍽️ Culinary experience: Wine and gastronomy go hand in hand. Some brands fully embrace this idea, which is a clever and effective way to stand out from the crowd and reach the right audience. 📍Illustrated production location: Showcasing where the wine was produced is nothing new in this industry, but some do it in a more modern way, with bright colors for example. 🐾 Animals on labels: We have seen a lot of labels with animals recently, ranging from the forest to the seabed. Having an unusual animal on a label is another fun way to stand out. 🎨 Abstract illustrations: This very artistic trend can have many motives. It could be to represent the flavors and aromas of the wine with colors, shapes, and textures... and we love it! Cheers to innovation and creativity in wine packaging! Which trend sparked your interest the most? #WineAndSpirits #Inspirations #ProWein2024 #PackagingTrends #DesignAgency #CrepusculeBrandDesign

In the realm of crafted spirits, here are two of Cocalero’s finest expressions: the classic herbal green and the enigmatic Cocalero Negro. These bottles are more than mere vessels; they are the embodiment of a rich South American legacy, meticulously crafted to deliver an unparalleled taste experience. The vibrant green bottle captures the essence of botanicals, each sip a journey through lush landscapes and the purest flavors nature has to offer. In contrast, the Cocalero Negro bottle, with its deep, alluring hue, promises a bold adventure into the heart of darkness, where flavor knows no bounds. The intricate labels speak volumes of the meticulous attention to detail that goes into every bottle. This is where tradition meets innovation, where every drop tells the story of its origin, and every flavor is a chapter yet to be explored. For the discerning palate and the adventurous spirit, Cocalero offers not just a drink but an experience—a fusion of history and modern-day craftsmanship. Grab your closest friends and connect over a glass and share the rich tapestry of stories that each of these unique blends has to tell. #CraftedSpirits #HeritageBrands #InnovativeFlavors #SouthAmericanLegacy #Cocalero #BusinessAndPleasure

https://lnkd.in/gF5q32vZ “Heroes” and Anti-Hero “Heroes” Vineyard has two distinct but linked wine labels. The “Heroes” label is for the wines produced from their original 10-acre vineyard, located in the Otways and planted in 1998, while the Anti-Hero label covers wines made from fruit sourced elsewhere. “Heroes” was named after the David Bowie song of the same name – the quotation marks are used both in the song and on the label to indicate a degree of irony. There is sometimes a certain triumphalism in the wine industry, and the name is partly a mockery of itself and other winemakers. However, the label also features subtly embossed raindrops, which could represent a real hero for the winery, as the region’s natural rainfall is essential to the non-irrigated and organically run vineyard. Anti-Hero acts as the winery’s second label and is also meant to be a bit tongue-in-cheek. A typical anti-hero is usually a character who is essentially a ‘good guy’ that you root for, but who may lack the usual idealism or other characteristics of your typical hero. It shows the original label being defaced by graffiti – the characters are the winemaker’s children. Label details: Producer – “Heroes” Vineyard Varietal – Sauvignon Blanc, Pinot Noir Region – Geelong, Victoria Photographer – Mel Cordon Printing – Offset Substrate – Bright White Felt Embellishments – Emboss, High Build Screen #Wine #Label MCC Label #Design

The 747 is the new release for Jacquesson's 2024 'Programme,' as they call it. The 700 series represents an interesting approach to non-vintage Champagnes, aiming to release the best cuvée each year anew and no longer adhering to a specific style. The logic behind this decision is apparently that the 700 series represents the best cuvée produced in a given year, and therefore, another cuvée with the same vintage cannot be released. Champagne has a terroir character, which, as a natural product, varies from vintage to vintage, origin, and growing conditions. It focuses on the distinct personality of a vintage, which is then stylistically complemented by noble reserve wines from older vintages. The 742 DT is the second new release for Jacquesson's 2024 'Programme. The 700 series Dégorgement Tardif DT : Since Jacquesson has moved to the philosophy of only releasing the 700 series wine every year, they decided to hold some back each year for an extended aging period on the lees with natural cork (sous-liège) and to release this wine as "Dégorgement Tardif" 5 years later. Dizy Terres Rouges 2015 is the only lieu-dit new release for Jacquesson's 2024 'Programme. The lieu-dit (single-vineyard) line-up: Jacquesson also produces tiny quantities of its terroir-based cuvées, each from a unique parcel of vines. These Champagnes showcase some of the region’s finest terroirs and is a must buy for collectors and anyone interested in the terroir of Champagne, demonstrating an extraordinary vinosity and expression of place. Now available at the-champagne.ch Zürcher-Gehrig AG since 1987
