This is a chance to celebrate the progress that has been made towards achieving equality for the LGBTQ+ community, while also recognising the work that still needs to be done. But why should it matter to employers especially? We spend a huge amount of our lives at work, so being able to be ourselves is so important. Open For Business's research on the largest companies in the UK, US, Germany, and Australia has revealed a significant link between LGBTQ+ inclusion and corporate success! I went through the report and it's shown that businesses with high LGBTQ+ transparency scores are showing stronger financial performance and are attracting the best talent.
