I believe that when your organization has a tremendous mission & cause... it's easy to get people behind it...right? Not always. Be specific when requesting donations—focus on unique experiences, vacation homes, or special services. Personalize your ask by highlighting how their contributions will directly support the mission and impact of your organization. Take it a step further by asking them what items they’d like to see in the live auction. This way, you increase the chances of them bidding, which could either lead to higher bids from others or a win for the organization when they bid.
