✨ This Global Ethics Day is a great opportunity to reflect on the talking point of the Ethical Dilemma. 🤔 I’ve often found myself in situations where ethical dilemmas arise– those critical moments where convenience can tempt us away from our principles. While it’s all too easy to get swayed by the allure of instant gratification, I’ve learned that these choices can lead to serious consequences. Although, in such situations, I make it a point to pause and reflect. Constantly reminding myself that true success rooted in integrity preserves personal credibility and builds long-term trust. What’s your take on this? 💬 How do you approach ethical dilemmas in your organization? What are your top ethics in the workplace? #GlobalEthicsDay #workplaceethics #organizationalculture #ethicaldilemma

If the how doesn’t matter at least as much as the what, trouble will follow. Walking the talk is a top-down movement. Middle managers must see top management care about the how, they must be explicitly told that the how matters and they must be rewarded when they prioritize ethical behavior above business results.

In our last round of data collection for Ethics & Compliance Initiative (ECI)'s Global Business Ethics Survey, 40% of employees told us that their supervisor prioritizes 'the ends' over 'the means.' That's a risky way to meet business objectives. To be honest, I think the 40% number seems low. In most organizations, the pressure is on for supervisors to be sure their employees perform, and it's easy for values & standards to get lost in the pursuit. What do you think? FYI...ECI releases key statistics regularly through EthicsStats (like the one you see below). If you would like more information about them, contact Andrew Wessels on LinkedIn or via email at drew@ethics.org. #EthicsStat #ethicsresearch #supervisorpressure #statistics #GBES #corporateintegrity
