March 23, 2024 God's gifts "We do the footwork and accept what's being given to us freely on a daily basis." Our relationship with our Higher Power is a two-way street. In prayer, we speak and God listens. When we meditate, we do our best to listen for the will of our Higher Power. We know that we are responsible for our part of the relationship. If we do not pray and listen, we shut our Higher Power out of our lives. When we think about our relationship with our Higher Power, it's important to remember which one we are: the powerless one. We can ask for guidance; we can ask for willingness or strength; we can ask for knowledge of our Higher Power's will--but we cannot make demands. The God of our understanding--the one with the power--will fulfill that half of the relationship by giving us exactly what we need, when we need it. We need to take action every day to keep our relationship with a Higher Power alive. One way we do this is by applying the Eleventh Step. Then we remember our own powerlessness and accept the will of a Power greater than ourselves. Just for Today: In my relationship with my Higher Power, I am the powerless one. Remembering who I am, today I will humbly accept the gifts of the God I understand.

“When Backings Give Privilege, But God Breaks Protocol” There are some people who have backings—whether from family, connections, or status—that give them the upper hand in almost everything they do. Because of these privileges, they can get away with cutting corners or doing things the wrong way, and no one dares to call them out. In fact, if we speak up, we might even be the ones criticized. These backings allow people to move through life with an air of untouchability. They act without fear of consequences because they know someone is always there to protect or defend them. It’s a kind of power that makes them feel like they’re above the rules, like they have a right to whatever they want, even if it’s unfair. For some of us, though, we don’t have that kind of support. We have no one backing us in those critical moments. And if God doesn’t show us mercy, even when our case is brought up, things could easily go the wrong way. That’s why we rely on God to break protocol on our behalf. When the odds are stacked against us, only His grace can make a way. So, God, for the last time, we ask: Break protocol for us. Step in where we have no backing, and be the strength we need when the world feels like it’s against us.

-God is never in a hurry, and he’s never late. He’s always on time. God’s timing is perfect, even when we can’t understand it. We’ll never fully understand God’s timing because God exists on a different wavelength. Because he is timeless, he has a different view of time. The Bible talks about God’s understanding of time in 2 Peter 3:8. It says, “Do not forget this one thing, dear friends: With the Lord a day is like a thousand years, and a thousand years are like a day”. Does that sound like the way you treat time? It might feel like a thousand years when I’m waiting for a meal sometimes, but we humans don’t think in those terms. God’s timelessness has big implications for your life. When God created you, he put a dream in your heart. Most people start off with a big vision and a big goal. They have some kind of dream or plan or project for their life. What vision has God given you? Over the years I’ve discovered that while everybody tends to start off early in life with a vision, as time goes on, more and more people give up on their dream before it’s accomplished. The reason is often because it doesn’t happen fast enough. Maybe you have had your dream battered. Maybe you have had your dream broken. Or maybe, out of discouragement and disappointment, you have buried your dream. You’ve given up on it. God doesn’t want you to do that. If God gave you a dream for your life, it will happen. It just has to happen on his timetable, not yours. God says this about your dream: “The vision will still happen at the appointed time. It hurries toward its goal. It won’t be a lie. If it’s delayed, wait for it. It will certainly happen. It won’t be late” (Habakkuk 2:3). I want you to remember this powerful truth: God is never early in your life. He is never late in your life. God is always right on time. -www.melsam.ca-

Struggling with keeping Faith? Have you ever felt like God has abandoned you during tough times? If so, you're not alone. Here's what I've learned about trusting in God's plan: ↳ Don't focus on the entire mountain; take it one step at a time. ↳ Trust God for today's challenges, not tomorrow's uncertainties. ↳ When we try to figure it all out ourselves, we lose hope. ↳ God always comes through when we focus on Him in the present. Remember: It's not about understanding the whole plan, it's about trusting God for each step. How has focusing on daily trust in God, rather than long-term worries, helped you overcome challenges? #FaithOverFear #TrustGod #DailyFaith
