It is about converting a seemingly unsolvable challenge into an opportunity to add value. It is about identifying potential benefits in conflicting situations. For business leaders, dilemma-flipping is a key skill. It requires stepping back, making sense of the situation, and flipping it to take an objective view. I really like how Netflix approaches their view of 'team' in the company's updated culture memo --> "The Dream Team: We aim only to have the highest performers at Netflix, modeling ourselves on a professional sports team, not a family." There are a lot of connotations associated with family - some good, some not so.
