Future of Heartland states in the field of Technological advancement The heartland of India, comprising Rajasthan, Madhya Pradesh, Chhattisgarh, and Odisha, faces significant challenges in terms of development, employment, and technological advancements. The lack of information and opportunities drives the tech-savvy youth to migrate to other states. To address this, the respective state government should focus on promoting skills development among the youth, starting from the 10th standard, and create career pathways. Here are some strategies to boost the heartland's development: - *Enhance Skills Development*: Governments should initiate skill enhancement programs for youth, focusing on emerging technologies and industries. - *Attract Private Players*: Governments should approach professionals working outside the states to collaborate and invest in skill-based jobs, rather than pollution-causing factories. - *R&D Institutes*: Establish more research and development institutes to foster innovation and technological advancements. - *Promote Entrepreneurship*: Encourage entrepreneurship by providing resources, mentorship, and funding opportunities. - *Infrastructure Development*: Invest in modern infrastructure, including transportation, energy, and digital connectivity. By implementing these measures, the heartland can witness significant growth, reduce brain drain, and become a hub for technological advancements.

This is a great step towards IT/ITeS sector’s expansion in India beyond the few traditional hubs. Tier 2 cities are pivotal for India’s overall growth story and it is time IT/ITeS sector, including GCCs embrace these new hubs. Wishing all the best to path breaking efforts by MPSeDC (Department of Science and Technology, GoMP). Having dedicated policy to promote GCC establishments in the state goes way beyond extending perks and benefits.
