HOW TO INTEGRATE PRIVATE LABEL IN YOUR STRAP MIX... I'll be adding new ideas frequently, so come back often. Today, we'll talk generically. When you buy product made and branded by someone other than you, there is no call to action to return to your shop when new product is needed. Let's say you have a corner bodega. You sell Pepsi. No one is ever going to think of just you when they need their next soda fix. But, if you also have some cool lanyards hanging near the register, and they have your name/logo all over them, not only will they come back to you for more, everyone who sees that person wearing that cool lanyard will know where they can get one! Here at Strapworks, we make it easy to get into branding and Private Label. We feature low minimums. This allows you to stock niche products for an upcoming event you are putting on, or an upcoming mega-event (like the total solar eclipse). No art charges. Affordable costs for major quality products. Call or write today for our Digital Catalog and you too can feature your very own brands.

When deciding on the packaging for your product, one of the most important aspects that you should consider is its shelf appeal. Now, if you saw a plain, white box of tea with minimal shelf appeal, you would likely just walk past it without batting an eyelid. But what if you saw this tea packaging? The colours, the branding, and the tidy shape are all spot on. I don’t know about you, but this would certainly make me stop. What parts of packaging do you find the most engaging when browsing a supermarket?

Never leave a strong brand unattended in your car. It will encourage crime. This week, my friend and associate, Richard Stone, had his car broken into. They went through everything but only nicked two items: 2 tins of house paint. But not just any house paint. Two full tins of very expensive Farrow & Ball paint. Who would have thought it - posh paint which has real swag value. I’m sure it will get readily snapped up down the local wine bar. I use Farrow & Ball as a brief case study in my ‘Brands Distilled’ gallery. Why? Because they deliver ‘strong brand status’ against all my criteria (see Brand Compass - A guide to Building Strong Brands). And against the ultimate indicator (Enterprise Value), the numbers speak for themselves. First sold in 2014 for £275m it was then sold again in 2021 for £500m. PS: I have never used F&B paint but I know there used to be dark mutterings about its ease of use. I refer to this in the Brands Distilled Gallery. I’ve updated my research and will update my copy as I believe they have addressed this issue. In fact, what I read reflects very well on the brand - they listened and made some changes but would not compromise on the vital brand connection point - finish and colour. I’d love to do a deeper study on this brand - so if anyone is listening at F&B, do get in touch! #brandstrategy #brandstrategymatters @ClareDunbar @farrowandball

Although it's what's inside that counts, don't discount creative packaging as part of your branded promotions. Colors, shapes and textures capture attention in a stack of envelopes and other packages. When that happens, you've already won because they noticed your brand. Of course, what's inside has to be of value too. A grand package with a cheap refrigerator magnet inside is a letdown. That doesn't mean your promo has to be a budget buster – just relevant, practical and keepable. Want to talk creative packaging? Send me a line. #brandedpromotions #packaging #branding

Get creative with your branded merchandise! Who says merch can't be surprising (and seriously useful)? Let's be honest, t-shirts and mugs are promotional product staples, but sometimes you gotta think outside the box. I'm talking about merch that sparks genuine delight and leaves a lasting impression. Imagine handing out seed packets printed with your company logo at an eco-friendly event. Talk about planting the seeds (pun intended!) for brand loyalty. Or how about keeping attendees at a tech conference juiced with custom-branded portable phone chargers? They'll be thanking you every time their phone's about to die (and seeing your logo in the process). What are some creative promotional product ideas you've seen or used? Let's hear those off-the-wall suggestions in the comments! The goal? Merch that gets used, not tossed in a drawer. Let's make those marketing dollars count!

We have seen that a good way to have some fidelity to client's is to be associated with a word. For example; Apple to prestiguous or Volvo to Safetiness. (More example on my profile). BUT, THERE IS ANY OTHER BRANDING STRATEGY 😬 ? YES, THERE IS 😮 . Another form of Branding is instead of being associated with a word, but with to a product. For example in Spain the Sandwich bread is not call Sandwich bread instead is called Bimbo bread. AND, WHY? BIMBO is a food manufacture comapanies, so when they star selling this product, there wasn't many other competitors selling the same product, so people star associated the product to the brand and star calling the product as Bimbo Bread. Also influenced in this association how big the logo was in the packaging as we can see in the photo. Tomorrow more exaples: Let me know if you want to share more examples: #BRANDING #BIMBO #PANDEMOLDE #SANDWICHBREAD
