A while back, I figured out you could trick a 5380 Compactlogix into talking to a PV800 screen if you utilize the SLC mapping, and having the PV800 setup to talk to a Micrologix. We had a trip out to the customer that I set this up with for upgrades to their system, and had the unfortunate realization that Rockwell breaks that functionality if you upgrade from version 7 to version 8 firmware on the PV800. Had to factory reset the screen, download an older version of CCW, what a mess. If you are using this trick now like I was, beware of the firmware update. #controls #AllenBradley 😒

Some really nice acquisition options within the Motion Amplification software by RDI Technologies Inc. We can do triggered, timer, shaft inspection, time-lapse and one of my favorite external sync. Great example here using external sync inspecting the bearing inner race security to the shaft (Mounted via grub screw). Due to the loading on the bearing the inner race was susceptible for slipping on the shaft. Poor reliability of these bearings was due to the incorrect bearing type for the application.
