Target schools have student profiles that are right in line with your numbers and profile, while likely schools should be close to a sure thing for you. 👀Stay tuned for more tips from Jennifer as she guides you through the MBA admissions process. ⭐More about Jennifer Jennifer’s clients have gained admission to all M7 and top 20 MBA programs, earning nearly $1 million total in merit scholarship awards and Forté fellowships If you have questions about applying in round one or the MBA application process, schedule a free consultation with a Stratus counselor. https://hubs.la/Q02z04XZ0 #MBAjourney #RoundOneReady #AdmissionsTips #MBARoundOne #MBAR1 #MBAapplication #Bschool #Businessschool #MBAprocess #M7Schools #Top20MBAprograms #fortefellowship #GMAT #GRE #M7schools #GPA

If you intend to submit business school applications in Round 1, you have about 100 days until the first deadlines. Now, what else should you be doing in the month of June? Tip 3️⃣ 👉 Assess your GMAT/GRE/EA score. Are you happy with your current standardized score? Have you completed practice GMAT, GRE, or EA tests to ensure you are taking the best test for you? Have you built a retest plan? June is a great month to take these tests for the first time (if you haven’t already). Taking the test now will give you time to reassess and retake before you get too deep into the application process for Round 1. Remember that there is a required wait time between tests, so be aware of that time frame. If you haven’t achieved the score you think you are capable of, you might want to reconsider your test prep strategy. 👀Stay tuned for more tips from Melisa Prevost as she guides you through the MBA admissions process. ⭐More about Melisa: Melisa has worked with hundreds of clients and influenced thousands of applications. Her clients have been accepted to all the top 20 schools, and have received close to $10M in scholarships. June Pre-MBA To-Do List Tip 8️⃣ 👉 Continue your school research. The business school application process is a marathon, not a sprint. Pace yourself! Get what you can done in June because the summer only gets busier as application dates approach. 👉 As submission deadlines are announced, develop a project plan to prioritize your work based on the application due dates. 👉 Build key professional deadlines and personal commitments into your plan to create a realistic and achievable schedule for the application season, and make sure to give yourself an occasional evening or weekend off to rejuvenate. 👉 Consider building your plan to ensure you complete all applications a couple of weeks before the deadline. 👀 Stay tuned for more tips from Melisa Prevost as she guides you through the MBA admissions process. ⭐ More about Melisa: Melisa has worked with hundreds of clients and influenced thousands of applications. In Round 1 this year, we had to make a difficult decision. A candidate approached us for MBA admissions consulting, aiming exclusively for M7 schools. After our profile evaluation, it was clear—his candidacy wasn’t there yet. His grades were average, his profile needed work, and his GMAT score wasn’t competitive. We set expectations honestly: if he wanted a real shot at M7 schools, he needed to raise his GMAT to at least 675+ and consider a mix of dream, reach, and safe schools. But he didn’t want to hear it. Determined to stick to M7, he declined our advice and moved on to another consultant who, no doubt, promised him the world. Fast forward a few months: he contacted me again yesterday. Rejected by every school he applied to, he now faces the hard reality of what we told him from the start. I gave him the same honest advice: retake the GMAT, aim higher, and apply to a balanced mix of schools. In this space, it’s tempting to tell candidates what they *want* to hear. But we believe in telling them what they *need* to hear. Authenticity and integrity are cornerstones of our approach—even if it means losing a client temporarily. Because when reality hits, they’ll remember who gave them the advice that could actually change their outcome. ------ We’re now accepting applicants for Round 2. With a 98% success rate in placing our clients at top business schools, we’ve helped many achieve their MBA dreams. Could you be next? We only have last 5 slots left—start with a paid profile evaluation and find out if you’re ready to join us. Top100MBA.Club #mba #mbaadmissions #bschools

The MBA admissions teams are constantly tweaking their admissions process—introducing new questions and application components. In recent years, the Stanford GSB launched four new optional questions, each approximately 180 words in length—effectively almost doubling the size of the GSB’s written application! In recent years, HBS and Wharton both added new background questions; Wharton also modified its letter of recommendation form—already an anomaly in business school applications. Each of these changes adds to a business school application’s complexity, which in turn makes an applicant’s journey more challenging. The bottom line: The commitment, energy, and expertise required to develop a winning business school application have increased dramatically in recent years. You need to work harder to gain acceptance to an MBA program, so your business school admissions consultant naturally needs to work harder as well. 🚀 Navigating the MBA Admissions Process: Standardized Testing Insights 🚀 Last weekend at the Graduate Management Admission Council™ (GMAC™) MBA Tour in Washington, DC, there were a lot of questions about standardized testing. GMAT/GRE are the most common tests for business schools and full-time MBA programs. 📝 Here's a quick overview of how the approach to standardized testing and waivers can vary across business schools: ➡️ American University - Kogod School of Business (Kogod) GMAT or GRE is encouraged but not strictly required. If you’re not submitting test scores, a GMAT/GRE Waiver Essay is needed, detailing your academic readiness through coursework, work experience, certifications, or other relevant experiences. ➡️ University of Michigan - Stephen M. Ross School of Business (Ross) GMAT or GRE required. However, candidates can submit an essay demonstrating academic readiness through professional accomplishments, advanced degrees, certifications, or relevant work experience. ➡️ Columbia Business School (CBS): GMAT, GRE, or Executive Assessment from GMAC accepted. The Executive Assessment is designed for experienced professionals to evaluate skills and readiness for business school. 🔗 See links with further information on standardized testing in the comments below. 📧 If you have any questions or need guidance on your MBA journey, reach out via LinkedIn. #MBA #GMAT #GRE #BusinessSchool #Admissions #HigherEducation #CareerGoals #BSchool #StandarizedTesting ETS Graduate Management Admission Council™ (GMAC™)

M7 business school GPA requirements are not explicitly stated, but M7 and other top business schools publish the average GPAs of incoming MBA students in class profiles. So, by looking at the average GPAs in the M7’s incoming class profiles, we can get a sense of what types of grade point averages these schools may expect, if not “require.” Remember, though, that no one number in isolation can secure an applicant’s place at an M7 school. Many factors, such as GPA, come into play. Similarly, if your GPA isn't up to snuff, there are other ways to make up for it in your application. If you haven’t already done so, sign up to receive emails from any program that looks interesting to you so you know what events are on the horizon. Most MBA programs offer online information sessions, student chats, and more. These can be a cost-effective way to explore a longer list of programs. Many offer a limited number of on-campus visits, which enable you to sit in on a class and engage with students, but be sure to do your homework before connecting with students. Keep an eye on academic calendars since many programs will wrap up their spring semester in late April or early May. Get a head start on Round 1 by checking out the to-do list for April from Stratus Director of MBA Admissions Susan Cera. This comprehensive guide will help you stay organized and on track as you prepare to submit your applications. We asked 30+ incoming students to M7/LBS/INSEAD MBA programs what helped them most in preparing their applications: 70%: Having a mentor who has been accepted to the university I'm aiming for or higher. They are smart, have more experience than I do, have been through the process, and are relatable. 10%: Developing the right storyline through brainstorming and introspection. 10%: Connecting with the admissions committee of my target university. At UniAdvise, we've incorporated all these elements into our MBA preparation offering: 👉🏻Our team comprises London Business School MBAs with 50% scholarships to M7 MBAs, readily available for contact via WhatsApp and calls. 👉🏻We spend HOURS on storyline formulation because everything in your application will align once your storyline is just right. Our USPs include identifying gaps, ensuring the final storyline addresses those gaps, and finding the right words to express it. 👉🏻We offer mock interviews and review every detail of your application, conducted by people who have actually been accepted to your target university. These strategies have helped us succeed with some of the world's most competitive universities. If you’re targetting 2025 intake, you can schedule a call with me and Vani Duggal via: https://lnkd.in/d78Zxbhj
