CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER® at Corebridge Financial Helping individuals and families find confidence, clarity, and direction in their financial lives.
In the last week, I've been asked by 3 different people: "What should I look for in hiring a financial advisor team?" An absolutely phenomenal question. I most commonly hear this question from individuals or families who are at, or approaching, the 100K of assets level. I think there's something about that figure that prompts people to consider whether they truly are optimizing their assets best on their own. A good starting point before even looking for someone to hire is to consider: What are YOU looking for in a Financial Advisor? some examples: - "I'm a DIY investor looking strictly for financial planning to just be sure I'm making the right decisions at this point in time." - "I feel confident with my finances, but my spouse isn't as involved in the financial planning process I do for myself personally. So, I want to work with an advisor for the peace of mind that if something happened to me, my spouse/family would already have someone in their corner who they can trust." - "I'm comfortable with my financial plan I've put in place, but don't fully understand investments and want to offload that task to a professional." - "I want to have a sound board for all financial aspects so I have to do as little management in that arena of my life as possible, and when changes arise I can pick up the phone and run questions by a professional." These are all drastically different perspectives on what someone might be looking for (and there's plenty more I could have listed) but here's the beautiful thing - they are all valid! When beginning to consider whether you should work with a financial advisor, it's more important for you to start by considering what YOU are looking for. If you don't know, a great financial advisor in their introductory process should prompt you to consider this question. It's an easy way to know whether or not you're in the right place for your needs, and whether that advisor is prioritizing YOU.

Helping you find top talent through specialized recruiting strategies | Expert Headhunter | Senior Recruiting Manager at Frederick Fox
Last week I was talking to a VP of Finance at a PE Portco. He told me he is in serious need of hiring an analyst for his team, but the candidates that recruiters send him, miss the mark and clutter his inbox. Sure, they might have financial modeling & budgeting on their resumes but its in an unrelated industry. It doesn't transfer easily & they don't have the luxury of time to train. When we work with fast-growing PE portfolio companies, it’s important to find candidates who know how these businesses work. Who have experience with: Building financial models to evaluate growth strategies, M&A opportunities, and other initiatives Developing dashboards, reports, and presenting to the PE group Conducting variance analysis and developing financial forecasts for fast-paced, high-growth companies At Frederick Fox, we focus on identifying PE-backed companies and contacting candidates who are likely to have the right background. Then we dig into their experience to verify what they've done. Our goal is to save you time by sending 3-5 qualified candidates who are a great fit, rather than filling your inbox with resumes that don’t meet your needs.

Hey everyone, big announcement: I started a business! Over the past year, I've been working with companies for free trying to add value as a fractional financial analyst. Over time, I found some great clients, and because of them, I am able to make the transition to full-time. Introducing Proview: Fractional CFO services helping business owners improve financial visibility, make informed strategic decisions, and achieve their long-term goals. My ideal clients are growth oriented businesses in the $1 mil. to $10 mil. annual revenue range. These are typically businesses that are too small to hire a full-time CFO but would greatly benefit from financial guidance. By working with a fractional CFO, companies get ~80% of the value of a full-time CFO at a fraction of the cost. I’m super excited for this next chapter! I love working with my existing clients, and I look forward to adding more. Lastly, I recognize that I can’t do this alone - I need your support. If you know anyone who might benefit from this type of service, let me know! I’m here to help in any way I can, even if they don’t fit the exact client profile I’ve outlined above.
