📣 Stansgate Planning achieved planning permission for nine houses in the Green Belt near to Alvechurch. Six houses derived from the change of use of historic brick barns, a non-designated heritage asset. Three houses were new build and replaced several modern farm buildings of no historic interest. A fall-back position involved Class Q Prior Approval for change of use of the modern barns to dwellinghouses. 👏

How did you find your way to historic preservation? "My passion for preservation work began right after my apprenticeship as a mason, and I’ve been doing it ever since. I’ve always loved history and learning how things were built. When working on preservation projects, you never know what you’ll discover—there are ideas, but nothing is certain." What drives your passion for it? "I love the techniques involved in preservation.
