One of the most valuable lessons we've learned is the importance of surrounding yourself with individuals who think bigger than you! 🤯 . Being in a space where ideas flow freely and boundaries are constantly pushed is essential for growth. 📈 . After all, success in business isn't just about what you know; it's also about who you surround yourself with! 👯 #AustinEntrepreneurialSummit #ExpandYourHorizons #BusinessGrowth

The key to achieving community growth and prosperity is creating a nurturing environment for local businesses. Are you eager to learn about the first one? Here it is: Establishing a small business advisory board for local government --One of the strategies is the establishment of a small business advisory board for the local government. This board, consisting of seasoned entrepreneurs and business leaders, can offer invaluable insights to policymakers on the practical challenges that small businesses face. If you think about it, starting a business is kind of like an act of independence. Maybe even an act of rebellion. You're standing up and saying: I have a solution. I can do this better. I want to be my own boss. I want to lead others. We're celebrating this Independence Day by acknowledging the entrepreneurial spirit that drives Americans to make their communities, country, and planet a better place. At Startup Colorado, we work with rural entrepreneurs around the state. Some are running businesses on Main Street or launching cottage food services, others are developing scalable tech enterprises or gamechanging climate solutions. All are a vital part of Colorado's rural ecosystem. That's why we launched the Startup Colorado Pitch Competition, as means to elevate their work. There is now $280K in investments on the table. If you're a founder with a scalable business, apply by July 7th EOD. Learn more: https://lnkd.in/dHVmptNg

Growth by Casper, for Casper. We exist to collectively seek and follow through on opportunities to write our own narrative. Not only because nurturing and diversifying the economy is vital to the security and long term success of any place, but because we know that if we don’t take initiative on the future of Casper, someone else will. & we like to do things a bit differently. Our own way. The Forever West way. As a 501(c)6, our members and board of directors are made up of local leaders, entrepreneurs and pioneers that love Casper just as much as you do. & once you get to know us, you’ll find that we continue to choose to call Casper home for the same reasons. For: the future of our children, unparalleled career and entrepreneurial opportunities (to do what we love and make a living), tax benefits, the small town charm, untouched adventure, a vibrant community, wide-open spaces and more. That’s why when we set out to Advance Casper, it’s business driven yet community inspired Because the intentional growth we attract and feed is always rooted in quality of life for our family and for yours. With the expansion surrounding us in the Mountain West; standing still (and ignoring the inevitable) is not an option. You see, if we simply left things the way they are and turned our heads… someone else would come in and tell our own story. Lay out our path like other metropolitan cities throughout the region. &, to us, that’s not an option either. So yes… like everything in the unknown, growth and expansion can be unpredictable. But when economic development is always one step ahead; it’s nothing we can’t learn from, adapt to and rise above meaningfully. If you’re an entrepreneur or community leader who is passionate about the local economy, the people of Wyoming, and writing Casper’s story in history; then join our membership: https://lnkd.in/g-pvNWs9 #advancecasper #casperwy #casperwyoming #growcasper #casperlocal

Early-stage founders: always pitch your company properly before asking another entrepreneur for an intro to top tier investors. Why? 1) You want them to understand what you're building 2) You want to make it easy for them to do that intro 3) They don't want to damage their relationships with investors with random introductions A warm intro from a trusted founder will get your an investor call in most cases. Time well spent. Go get them! 💪
