With schools back in full swing this week it's crucial to prioritise the safety of our children, especially when it comes to their daily commute. With a significant number of kids choosing bikes as their preferred mode of transport, here are a few tips to ensure a safe and enjoyable journey: · Helmet Always On: Make sure your child wears a properly fitted helmet to protect their precious noggin. · Supervision and Routes: Encourage younger children to ride with adult supervision and choose safe routes. · Regular Bike Maintenance: Ensure bikes are in top-notch condition, with brakes, lights and bells functioning properly. · Avoid Distractions: Discourage the use of electronic devices or headphones while riding. While, here in Australia, we are still a long way away from seeing optimal cycleway and pedestrian infrastructure across our communities, it shouldn't discourage us to choose active modes of travel to and from school. When done safely, bike riding offers a healthier, social, cost effective and in most cases, more efficient alternative to arriving at school via car drop-off. Let's come together as a community to raise awareness about the importance of safe travel to and from school. Share these tips, engage in discussions, and support initiatives that advocate for child bike safety. Our collective efforts can create safer environments for our young cyclists. Let's empower our children to pedal towards success with confidence, knowing they have the knowledge and support to stay safe on their journey to school! 📢 🚲 Spread the Word! #BackToSchoolSafety #ChildBikeSafety #CommunityAwareness #SafeTravels

𝗚𝗲𝘁𝘁𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗕𝗲𝘁𝘁𝗲𝗿 𝗮𝘁 𝗝𝘂𝗺𝗽𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗪𝗶𝘁𝗵𝗼𝘂𝘁 𝗧𝗿𝘆𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗧𝗼! Getting kids to improve their jumping technique, especially the younger ones, can be challenging and unenjoyable for them. We like to incorporate jumping movements into various games with the focus being on fun, boosting their confidence and gently encouraging slight tweaks to prevent bad form habits locking into their muscle memory. By using this approach they're more likely to want to jump and then get better at it without even realising. We can teach people of all ages how to jump properly, in all the different jumping styles, but for the little kids we don't need to. #jumping #naturalmovement #movnat #asdkids #kidsfitness #asdchild #neurodiversity
